223 heavies with xbr ?

I know it’s not prime powder for it but my rifle is humming running a 77smk with xbr 8208. It’s not mentioned much but how many out there is shooting it in a 223, 69gr bullets and up ? What velocity, bullet and charge if you would be so kind to share

I use 24.5grns and loaded to 2.470" with the 75 ELD-Ms in my .223 and get 2970fps.

It's a great powder for heavies. Too bad Hodgdon can't get their act together and get more coming.

23.8-24.0 with SMK 69 in 20” AR is a hammer for me. 2.240” OAL in a Wylde chamber. 23.2 for 77’s and 80 smk.

I shot 23.3gr under H75bthp at 2.260 in my NMA2 with excellent results, but be careful as once you approach stiff loads it pressures up very quickly.

Pretty close to what I run in a CLE chamber. 23.8 w/ 69 and 23 w/ 77's or 80's

23.2 w/ 77 gr Nosler Custom Comps in a 16" WOA barrel with Wylde chamber. This gives me 2,575 fps.

That seems fast for a short barrel with that charge

That was 29 shots over Labradar LX. Velocity were checked with a big Labradar and a new Garmin all were within a couple of fps. LC brass is being used.
