88 edlm

Hornady recommends a 1 in 7 twist minimum.
So, my SWAG would be:
Maybe 65%
Yes 40%
No 50%
BTW, what distance would you be expecting to be shooting with them?

What elevation are you shooting at. Also, the 88 is a very long bullet. The 90gn Sierra is shorter and more likely to stabilize.

I have had 22 BR in 7, 7.5, 7.7, and 8 twist barrels from Bartlein and Kreiger. All would stabilize the 90SMK at 5000ft elevation and at as low as 2760fps (the slowest I have shot them at to date). I took the 7.7 twist to deep creek(3000ft) and it worked there too. I stopped shooting the 88eld years ago after a 7twist Bartlein 5R blew every 3rd one up. I also got more serious about 1k BR and the 88eld don’t do well enough in that venue.

Once you get to 22-250, 22-250AI and 22CM velocity's the 88's they seem to do fine in a 1-8. Plenty of people shooting Tikka's in 22-250 1-8 that have had good luck with them. A fairly popular thing is to take a 22-250 Tikka and re-chamber to 22CM.
