30BR- make it work

Below some trivial rookie questions on 30BR.

How difficult is to make 30BR shoot like 6BR? I heard that prepping the brass is more demanding.

With 6BR I can load and shoot, no neck turning. In case of 30BR is it necessary to neck turn?

The process above looks uber-easy, but is it really? How difficult it is to tune 30BR? Is it like 30gr of Varget in case of 6BR or does it require longer development process?

Read it several times, I mean READ it. After that then post any additional question you may have. I think the 30BR is pretty easy, yes you will need to turn necks, don't know how? Get help, I didn't and lost several pieces of brass where I turned down to far on the neck. Do a "real" powder test, if using N130 start with 35.5 grains (if you are using a custom action), seat the bullets at .020 jam to start (refer to Randy Robinett, he also says you need to shoot between 3020 and 3060). Good luck.

I mean by that trimming case to 0.001 accuracy is a necessary prerequisite.
This is not required. Know what the actual maximum length of your chamber is, and keep the brass trimmed about 0.010" short of that OAL, eg.: for my reamer, the Max OAL is 1.510", so the cases are trimmed to 1.500". As they are fired, re-sized and fired several times, and a single case reaches 1.505" long, the entire set gets trimmed to 1.500 . . . and so it goes - it will take many firings before brass needs trimming.

To critique the video post #1, above, the cases should all be trimmed to the same length, as the neck-turner
stops on the case mouth, which will determine how far into the shoulder the turner cuts. RG

Can you explain the effects of cases that resulted in different cuts into the shoulder because of different case lengths?

I've never lost a neck from cutting into the shoulder, I was hoping for @RGRobinett to shed some light on his opinion.
I have turned thousands of necked up 220 Russian Lapua cases, but never trimmed to length first.
If one cuts into the shoulder too deep over time the shoulder will begin to show a crack about center of the shoulder area. It will eventually separate in that area.

ill let the experts answer for you here. However, the guy in the video is @P1ZombieKiller. He turned my brass for me. He does excellent work. With the brass life being what it is, and if your not neck turning any other cartridges, id send it out to him to have it done. Just what's shown in the video would cost you around $250 bucks. Plus a learning curve where you possible wreck some brass. just my take.
