Farley rest

Interested in buying a Farley rest. Is bullet central the only place that sales them or Is there other dealers. Also anyone that might have one if you could give me some pros and cons it would be great thanks.
If you are still interested in a Farley and need help with there are a lot of people that can help. As for parts I can make anything you need for it. So do not be afraid to buy used.

Love my X, Neo X not the other..
I'm anxious to get my hands and eyes on the new X rest. The Raptor is far better than any other rest out there and I've tried pretty much all except for the new X, which appears to have copied the internal design of the Raptor, so may be similar in performance as well. I'm sure whatever Seb does is good, though. But yes indeed, the Raptor passed/left his and all others in the dust. You just have to feel it to believe the difference.

I’ve been behind a couple Neo X’s. Haven’t shot one but ran the stick with a rifle on them. Nice and very smooth but not as light at the Rodzilla. I could live with either one but I’m quite happy with my Raptor. And while I like a little bling the Neo X is a little much. And I think the Raptor with the linear bearings instead of bushings might be better in the long run.

Thanks for the informed feedback. It's one thing to spout a product as being great but without experience with both, it's just one sided opinion. Seb has always made a good rest and supported our sport but it's still nice to some some real competition for him.

I've used a few different versions in my time...

I forgot to add and maybe Mr Johnson does this. Drill a vertical hole vertically on each side of the bearing in the front sliding plate. Make a couple delrin buttons and slide them in the hole and put a coil spring on top of the button and is sandwiched under the bag top. This will allow you to use very little tension on your tension screws. If you do this your Farley will be as smooth as anything out there.
Mr.Lambert
Is this the plate you are referring to? What kind of tension are you after with the springs? I assume there is a preferable weight when compressed?

Yes sir, that is what I used to do with the Farley's and on My Shadetree Top. It allows you to use very little tension on the tension screws and still hold a 20lb rifle and have a joystick that takes very little effort to move.

Is a 1/4" hole too big? Or should you stay with a 3/16"
Thanks for the reply
