What Priming Tool to Buy

Thanks for the compliment, and all good fun and kidding aside I would be very interested if you or Benchrest Braxton has recorded any performance improvements on the targets you could share using either of these fine tools .
Thx
J
Ha, I liked your ashtray and thought I would kid you about it. My grandad had a collection of them. My favorite one was a dressed up man and woman walking down a street, when you turned the tray over he was giving her a little pinch.

I use that as my primer tray, works pretty slick

Anyone use the RCBS Ram Priming Unit?
I have used one, works great. It won't ever be as consistent or precise as the units like the Sinclair, though. Brass is dependent on the placement of the extractor groove relative to the case head. There can be variance there.

Is there a link to buy one of the PCPS primer tools? I did a search and it pointed me to Amazon which shows them out of stock. Very interested in purchasing one at less than half the price of the Primal Rights

I made a custom tube from a high nickel alloy that's thick walled. I counterbored one end to allow a dillon pick up tube nest inside to drop primers the same way you fill a press tube. Amazon sells aluminum and stainless tubing that would work well in the die as well

I've loaded a few hundred on the PCPS now. It is a whole lot faster than the hand priming tool. The micrometer is set in metric and it may throw you for a loop when trying to get it set. Overall, good tool that won't take up more space on the bench like a CPS. I was loading my F-T/R ammo and I still picked up the Sinclair tool to do it.

Stay with the rcbs bench mounted priming tool. Have mine 45 years still using it. Save your money .
I bought one to supplement my hand primer, very good bit of kit. Palma cases with SRP in Lapua brass are tough after a hundred of them, or maybe I've spent too long working at a desk!

I ordered the PCPS last night, got the tracking number this morning from Carl. I ordered the comparator set as well just to give it a try.
I also ordered the comparator kit and already got it. I was a little skeptical of the quality based on the price of things nowadays. Wow, was I very pleasantly surprised. This kit punches way above its $58 price.

I did the same thing and got the comparator kit. Its nicer than the Hornady set. Ultimately both will work just fine, but I'm setting up a bench at the farm so it'll be one less thing to take back and forth.
