No more scrubbing! (carbon remover)

Since cleaning carbon form a barrel is being discussed how does iosso compare to JB bore paste as far as aggressiveness. Which of the two are more aggressive?

Brush is to help with carbon. Chemicals is for copper. I love Sweets.

No offense...but do you know this for fact? From where? All I have ever heard from barrel maker world is pumice. Like to put this mystery to bed once and for all!
I figured If using iosso is half the work time of JB can't be to bad of thing especially knowing you don't have alot of time from one relay to the next.

And, you wind up doing less scrubbing => i.e., is the net effect the same?
Less work cleaning carbon. Means more time shooting.
While this may deviate slightly from the direction of this discussion, I wanted to share a helpful tip that has proven beneficial in my own rifle maintenance routine.
Cleaning your warm rifle at the range, whenever feasible, can significantly reduce time spent cleaning. Personally, I have found using Bore Tech Eliminator along with their Proof-Positive nylon brushes to be particularly effective in achieving quick and efficient cleaning results on-site. This approach minimizes the need for heavy brushing with abrasives and bronze brushes, leaving less work for when you return home. I am not promoting this product or intimating that it is the best--just the one I use today.
Despite my initial reluctance to add more tools to our already extensive range gear, including bore guides, PMA rifle cradles, and cleaning rods, I have consistently found it worthwhile. The satisfaction of returning home to find the bore cleaning task completed with minimal effort is a positive. No proof of this, but, perhaps, less scrubbing equates to less wear.
I do believe this process helps to streamline our maintenance processes and promote optimal performance from our barrels.

Cleaning while your barrel is still warm at the range is definitely easier and less effort, when or if you have to wait to get it home to clean it's always a more time consuming effort.

At one time, JB did change colors....from brownish to a more grey color.
Finally..mystery solved!!! thanks. For those who don't know..here is an electron microscope pic of some of the diatom algae that make up diatomaceous earth..The diatoms make their shells out of silica (glass) and live in all water bodies. When they die they become fossilized and are dug up en masse as diatomaceous earth. I can see why it works so well. Nature's microfiber cloth in paste form!
