Roy Hunter stocks

I think the grain is easier to see in the satin one. I have a project I'll be working on that Roy is going to do a traditional finish on for me, to match the color cased action and rust blued octagon barrel ;) Going for that classic look but in a modern bench gun. Really looking forward to that project.

I would really like to see pictures of that if your client is ok sharing.

any concerns with the color case hardening warping the action?

Im the client :) Its something I have wanted to do for a long time. But the stock was kind of the hang up. If Im doing this I am going all out. When Roy started making stocks again I decided it was time to do it. Its a long term project and I am sure I'll post pictures of the process. Yes, theres concern about the action warping. But thats nothing new. All these custom actions we have been using have warpage. Its just how it goes. If you have lug contact thats all that matters and I will make sure of that.

That will be very very cool. I look forward to seeing pictures of that. What a great idea, super old school that shoots bug holes!
