7-6.5PRCW

Hi Alex,

Are you able to comment on whether the ADG brass measures differently to Lapua in any key areas, and will the clicker issue be something that people still need to stay on top of with a combination of chamber diameter vs brand of resizing die?
It acts just like Lapua. The same dies and chambers will be needed for both. I designed this cartridge around ADG brass originally. Lapua was not yet making 6.5 prc brass back then.

Would be great if Tim might chime in as to how this brass is performing for him and if / how he solved the clicker issue.

Still too early in my experience with it to answer your questions about clickers with the brass, but no clickers whatsoever so far. Initial impressions are that it's excellent brass, capable of at least matching, potentially exceeding the precision, pressure levels, and velocity that the existing Lapua brass offers.

There is no clicker problem. Its like any other case. You have to have the chamber and die specs right. And you cant be over pressure and expanding case heads. I have had customers hammer brass until the case heads have expanded so much they are trash without clickers with the right die. There has been trouble getting consistent dies though. So I will be making dies for this thing inhouse for guys I do work for. Not because I want to but because you need to be in control of the whole process to be sure it will work. Your gunsmith should be able to diagnose and fix your problem if your having one. Thats not just for clickers but any problem your having.

Guys, thanks for sharing all the information. Are the red velocities in order? Is shot 1 the bottom number and shot 5 is top numbers ect?

Tim will need to fill in the details. I dont want to steer you wrong, but I would NOT get hung up on what hes doing. I have worked through tuning these with different guys and theres barrels that love 16 and ate 555, theres barrels that love 55 and hate 16, 23 and h4831 are the same way. Best to just run some pressure ladders early on and see what powder looks best for you.

I have not had much luck finding berger 180 or 184's and my stock is about gone. Has anyone tried 180 eldm's? what would be a good starting load for h4350, h4831sc and n555?

any other bullet I should try?

To what degree does this lessen the likelihood of the donuts that are happening with the necked up Lapua?

Is this H4350 or R16? Thanks!

This 1000%. I'm learning that you're leaving performance on the table if you're not testing primers, powders, & neck tension in each individual barrel, to identify THAT BARREL's specific preferences and trends.

First shot within the specific series is listed as the bottom number, last shot within a specific series is the top number.
