Was looking at Sierra Reloading Manual awhile back and saw the load data for the 70 & 75 gr. bullet in a 25-06 Ackley Imp. I believe it was 3900 fps @ max. And who knows they could be sand bagging with their data. LOL. At any rate that is stroking it on down the road for a 75 gr bullet no doubt.

We could ask Zack if he would do a 25-260 improved, he’s always game for something new.

I have a 25-243AI reamer and have done several with great success. Most of my 25 cal builds have been 10 twist however I’ve done probably 15-20 fast twist for 25-243AI, 25 Creed, 25-284 and my favorite 25 SAUM. I’m currently running a 25 SAUM as my hog rifle. 1-10” Hawk Hill barrel cut to 20” and running 101 Barnes LRX over 3550. On the rare occasion I have to dial but most of the time I can hold hair and watch them buckle. Definitely a fun gun!

I couldn't be happier with my 25-284. I thought the 24" barrel would handicap me but it hasn't one bit. Never thought I'd see 3200 fps with the 133 Berger's. Once I run low on 284 brass, I'd love to make it a 25 SST. Short action 25 is appealing.

I'm a fan of just about anything 284 but I've got a couple hundred pieces of new ADG 6.5 SAUM brass that I can't decide if I want to build another 6.5 or neck it down to .257 and shoot those new 134 ELD-M or 133 Bergers.

Slinging those 134's 3200-3200+ from a 24in medium weight contour short action build should make for a fairly low recoiling hunting weight rifle with capabilities of some pretty good distance to it.

Or I could go even hotter and neck down some of my 7mm Blaser brass to .257 and probably get them in the mid 3350's or close to 3400, maybe....

Even a 25-6.5PRC if you wanted to run it in a short action would be cool and right now Lapua 6.5PRC brass is pretty easy to get.

Another pleasant surprise is the recoil is very tolerable as well. Considering it's an 8lb rifle, it's a pleasure to shoot.

Sure love to see sierra come out with a 130-140 grain TMK in the .257. Considering they made the Blackjack 131, it shouldn't be too tough for them to come up with something in a heavy .257.

I was talking with a Sierra tech rep last month and asked about the possibility of them coming out with a match high BC 25 cal bullet. His reply was they already have one, the 131 they were making for Blackjack. Apparently BJ still owns the rights to the bullet. He also stated he has an action,25 cal barrel and stock and is just waiting for Sierra to acquire production rights. No telling if or when though.

Just got some from them. Guess I better start thinking about getting a barrel ordered. What do y'all think, use some of the ADG 6.5 SAUM brass I have and do a 25 SAUM or a go 25-284. I still have a bunch of new 6.5-284 brass, AND, I already have Redding 6.5-284 bushing dies so at the most all I would need is a bushing and I probably even already have one of those. Practically speaking, the 25-284 would be the smarter choice, BUT, the 25 SAUM does have a little more case capacity and cool factor does slightly tilt toward a 25 SAUM not to mention it would be pretty fun to run these 134's up around, maybe, 3300. Either way, a 22in pipe is what it'll wear.

If it wouldn't require a custom made set of dies I'd like to do a little brother to my 7 Blaser and go 25-7mm Blaser mag but from a 22in tube the SAUM case is probably a better choice and would definitely be easier and I've found that as I get older I kinda like easier.

Yep I know those are impossible to locate. I found 300 a while back and grabbed them but prior to and since, nothing in sight.
