Help with 103 vtac bullets in 6gt!

Looking for a word of advise since theres alot minds on here. Im at a loss for my 6gt load. Tried 35 to 37grs of RL-16 with the best being 35.8 to 36.2 range but im getting moa at best with no consistancy. Tried a bunch of seating depth tests as well. Anyone got any advice on what vtac automated bullets like for jump tried 10thou to 60 thou off lands....if they like being on the slow side 2900ish or faster like 3050ish? Gone thru 500 of my 2000 piece order chasing my tail and can not seem to find a load that is all consiatant and any advice would be steller. Thanks Brent

Load
Hornady 6gt brass 3x fired
RL-16
Cci 450
Currently 50 to 55 thou off

Sounds like the barrel doesn't like that bullet, or a bad barrel. Could be other problems. What is the twist? Have you tried other powders? Whats the neck ID on the barrel?

1:7.5 krieger. No i havent tired other powders since i have over 16lbs of rl-16. Just being stubborn i guess idk. Id have to check with gunsmith but it was chambered with the standard 6gt reamer .120 freebore i believe

Get with your bullet maker, he shoots a GT.

I have...we chatted and ive tried all his suggestions with some resolve with the bigger jump suggestion he mentioned. He was the first person i asked for some advice. Figured this was prob the 2nd best spot. Thanks

I'm running Atips @ 2890 with 35.8g h4350, both guns are 26" MTU contours and both bullets are really stable down there.
I know he's off the lands with the vtacs.just not sure how much.
I do have some varget and 4350 but not a ton...rl16 has treated me so well in 6.5 creed and 300wm so i was gonna stick with it. Maybe i need to start over with diff powder

I know the GT is capable of a lot more velocity but both guns shoot .2 MOA regularly when checked on paper and tuned easy in that range. Has to be a barrel life advantage.
I don't have a lot of RL 16 experience but always heard the accuracy was up high but I'm not interested in torching a barrel in 7-800 rounds LOL
Dave,
I have ZERO experience with the Tiger, but I have a boat-load of expericace with RL-16 and 103's in a dasher.
35gr will get you to the 2990-3013 node depending on lot and that is a full case with little pressure. 36.1 will get me to the next node in my rifles but is painfully slow with a LONG drop tube.

1800 rounds was easy with the 35 gr charge.

I’ve been running them about 20-23 thou off the lands. Have a Bartlein 7.2 twist 26” and been keeping them in the 2900-2910 fps range and they’ve been doing plenty well in my gun.

Yeah speed is no prob with a gt but i just craving some consistancy lol...35gr of rl-16 gave me 2975 in my early stages of load work

The new Vtacs are very different from the old ones. Mine would not shoot close, or in the lands. I found my jump at .027 off. I know a few guys here who have had the same issue until they started jumping them. Also my vtacs liked a little more neck tension. Was shooting in mid-low 2’s at 600 with 28-30lbs dropped a bushing and now we consistently stay in the mid-high 1’s with good conditions. Also a side note this same load will shoot like a shotgun at 300 yards. This dasher taught me to tune at the distance I shoot at. It’s been finicky the entire time. But finally landed on 32.32grs of varget, with a br4, alpha cases, at a .027 jump. 28” Brux.
