What is everyone’s thoughts on this one: https://www.academy.com/p/plano-aw2-52-in-rifle-case
I would want a latch on each end. I have an SKB that is pretty solid, but with a couple of my wide forearm rifles it does not seal completely. What is everyone’s thoughts on this one: https://www.academy.com/p/plano-aw2-52-in-rifle-case
I just sold 2 airglides and purchased 2 SKBs, a lot tighter fit but a much more secure case. You drop 5-10K on a gun and scope and put it in a $100 case, just not my cup of tea. I really prefer the Pelican but they are (for me) getting heavy but it is max protection. JMHOSKB is another option.

I have one that someone can have for free with the stipulation that I will NOT ship it.ok guys I seen a few of you that have Plano Airglide cases that you are not using and would part with. I would be interested if you want to see them get a good home at a reasonable cost.
I sure would take you up on that. I'm trying to piece together a way to get a shooter i shoot with in your area to get it.I have one that someone can have for free with the stipulation that I will NOT ship it.
Infected with "wokeness"?Americase is no longer making gun cases.
For me, its not the price at all, its the case weight and how it carries the scoped rifle. I've used air-glide cases for well over 20 years for moving my BR rifles around with zero issues. I will miss them when these wear out, but they have shown no signs of that yet.I don't know about most of you but you spend $4k on a rifle, 2k on a scope, and then you balk at paying $200 - $250 on a protective case to carry it in.
What is wrong with this?
I have 2 Plano's for my short trip to the range, and 2 Pelican's if I decide to travel any distance.
“Sold” to jmayoI sure would take you up on that. I'm trying to piece together a way to get a shooter i shoot with in your area to get it.

I offered it to you…I’d have been happy to take it off your hands.
Different day different price lolNot for free!
You gonna put that catfish in there? Not for free!
I have lightly trimmed the foam to let the side of the stock "settle" into the case, not the greatest fix but it does work well.I would want a latch on each end. I have an SKB that is pretty solid, but with a couple of my wide forearm rifles it does not seal completely.
That double one is a PIA because of the standoffs in the middle of the case to keep it from collapsingAre any of these a suitable alternative to the Air Glide?
