6BRA load data

I see Tom is shooting in colder weather, is there much difference in the tune? If so how much ?

TY Don.

My lot of powder is decent, I've not seen much if any changes. Certain days it'll shoot tighter, but the peak load has remained the same. No tuner to turn on though!

I was planning on asking you the same thing. I switched to BRA late in the season and really didn’t get to do any load development at all. All the advice I have been given is don’t try to develop anything under 50deg. But I have been ready all the posts from you, Glenn, Alex, etc and you guys seem to have no problem shooting down to 0deg. Any tips you care to share?

Don't exhale! It was mid 20s today so basically hot!!! It could be colder at the first couple matches lol.

I’ve been playing with my new Lab lately, haven’t had it long but am wondering if you don’t have it in exactly the same position as previously used it may give a different speed reading, still gives a consistent average each time just slightly different to last lot of readings with same load?
Will need to take it out more for more testing..
I’ve checked my lab w/ my mag v3. Consistent & repeatable every time I test the lab is 2-3 fps faster. Since this has happened over at least 6 tests I’m assuming both instruments of mine are accurate. I wasn’t paying any attention to getting the same setup positions so can’t comment on that other than very doubtful they were all the same.

Well someone finally said it or should I say said it again!?

Mark and I at work have talked on and off about the Dasher vs the BR or BRA and that the Dasher was a tad over case capacity and that short neck length isn’t necessarily helping either.

Bart, Maybe what we should try and do is make a couple of test barrels for each. Get a bullet maker or ammo maker or powder maker etc...and have them tested in controlled conditions and see which one is more consistent.

Yes I know there are a ton of variables from bullets, to loads and overall tuning etc....but I think it would be interesting nonetheless.

Bartlein Barrels
Frank, you are kind in addition to knowledgeable. As a complete stranger 2-4 years ago I called to order a barrel. I had always shot big bore & was wanting to try some small bore. You suggested the 6 BRA. My 1st I went with a 6 GT and I like it. Though, I’m reading this thread & prepping Alpha 6 BRA brass for a Bartlein 6 BRA that should arrive within 2 weeks. Thanks for taking the time to share knowledge & being kind.
Much Appreciation, Lynn
