103 or 105 Hammers?I will retest 30.0 and 31.0 then do a seating depth test. Will likely be 30.0 that I settle on.
That was 29.5gr of varget with 108 elite hunters .005 thou off. My first barrel I used n-140 and had excellent results as well.Just loaded some fire forming load for a new barrel.
29.5 grain Varget with 105 Berger BT target.
Care to share your load?
What you talking about? You mean something like a chamber with threads on the end, and you just skrews the barrel on and off?Completely off topic on loads here. But why doesn't someone sell a high pressure piezo type tube one could have their gun smith tap in?
Dave, what brass and dies are you using?Just thought I would post a couple photos of some easy button loads with new barrels I’m breaking in. I had hoped to maybe eliminate barrels with less accuracy potential. That really didn’t work out so well. They all shot well. I had accumulated six new barrels over the last few years all chambered with the same BRA reamer. Some are Kriegers and some are Hawk Hills. I put three rounds through each barrel and cleaned them all. Then I recorded touch point with Hunter 103’s for each barrel. I loaded rounds for each barrel to be jammed .006” with a charge that historically has been in the middle of the low node with H4895 powder @~2,920 fps.
I set targets at 1,000 yards. Conditions were 50 degrees with 5-10 mph switchy winds so I was running five as fast as I could, changing out barrels and doing it again…
Each barrel had exactly 6 rounds on it before printing its first group at 1K. Amazingly the rifle shot two 2’s, two 3’s a 5 and one group put a nice little hole in the bank but missed the paper! Like I said , the wind was switching hard. I just don’t think it gets any easier than a 6 BRA once you have worked with one for a little while.

Dave.
Lapua brass on its 18th firing. I can’t seem to wear it out! I loaded these with a Short Action Customs die I recently picked up used but have had fine results with Harrells and the Bullet Central Dies too. These were with a .261” bushing, .265” loaded round in a .268” chamber.Dave, what brass and dies are you using?
I am a dasher guy and have never ventured over to the dark side.

Curious if you have tried the higher nodes and what the results were?Just thought I would post a couple photos of some easy button loads with new barrels I’m breaking in. I have with other barrels and I have made it work but I tend to travel preloaded to matches and I find the low node to be more forgiving.Curious if you have tried the higher nodes and what the results were?

That should clean up nice HuffmanBetween a tough winter and now the mud I've done very limited testing on my new HG barrel and no testing on the new Bat LG rig.
I did shoot a pair of ladders in the Panda HG last month though.

What discipline are most shooters using their 6BRA for?
Dave As a point of reference… for the lot of powder and other components you are using …. What was the charge weight used to get to the low node of 2920 ish ?Just thought I would post a couple photos of some easy button loads with new barrels I’m breaking in.
