Electric Cars -- anyone own one?

One of the things I never see mentioned, what to do when criminals stand in front of and behind your self driving vehicle at a stop sign and the car won't move forward or backward since it applies the brakes to avoid the objects it has detected. Does your wife and kids have to sit there and be robbed or molested?
Not if you're PACKING!! Only need to lower the window " a bit" to pop off a round. AND, you don't need to stinken CCW to protect you and yours.

"He left South Africa to avoid the draft."

That's a little too neat.

He actually attended college in S.A., which was a perfectly legal and acceptable way to avoid military service, while awaiting Canadian immigration processing.

Suppose, upon becoming an adult, you wanted to leave your country for Canada or the US to make your way up in the world. Does that make you a "draft dodger" simply because remaining there would have required military service?

AV? Not much better than Auto Drive, where the drunk driver says "Drive", kicks back and goes to sleep while the Auto Drive takes him home, except when it runs into a parked/stopped truck.:oops: Stupid people shouldn't be allowed to breed!!
OK, slightly off topic, but just had to share the story my SIL told me about my granddaughters (then age 9 & 7). So they're driving along with my daughter when the younger one asks "why are there so many stupid people in the world? Older one immediately responded with one of my favorite responses "Because they breed".
I'm so proud!
There is hope.

Yet another electric vehicle disaster is making the rounds on the internet, this time as a YouTuber with over 1.4 million followers tried towing an ancient 1930s Ford Model A truck with a contemporary Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup. Despite setting the bar ridiculously low – he just wanted...
Heh. Motor Trend just featured a 10-page comparison between the F-150 Lightning and the Rivian R1T. Yep, they both can tow a 22-ft horse trailer with two horses aboard, 5200 lbs total, without complaining. But, they didn't bother to range test towing the trailer. I suppose something must be left to the buyer's imagination.

Yeah pretty much. That’s what they called them in the 60-70’s when I enlisted.

But you already lived in the US, the greatest country on Earth. Musk lived in South Africa, one of those "sh__hole countries" as The Donald referred to them. Apples vs oranges.

Besides, being in the military in S.A. amounted to keeping the "insurgents" in their place, if you know what I mean. Not national defense. Now, the insurgents are running the country.

No
Draft dodger period!
However missing fire fights I highly recommend as a way to make your way in the world
Every draft dodger has such a neat story to put a spin on it.
Supporting draft dodgers is the next worst thing .
And it’s not”too neat” and keep coming with your “supposes”. Every draft dodger has great stories how it happened.
I’d say there is 58,000+ men that would have similar thoughts as mine.
I hate these bullshit people and their excuses.
I’m here today maybe because I didn’t have a wanna be draft dodger plastered into a rice paddy dike next to me.
