Gold/Silver members vs non paid members

Being a Gold/Silver member doesn’t make any of us more important than anyone else it does have some perks ,buying/selling, that some may have little interest in BUT you can’t deny that the Forum has replaced magazines for rifle/competition information AND you can ask for information on specific questions you have and get immediate feedback from several people for you to ponder. Ask yourself what magazine or better yet what subscription has done that for you and the price!
When it comes to trust I would say your feedback means the most to me AND then the fact that you are a member supporting the Forum. Both of those , I’ve found have EARNED my trust and generally ,we make a deal the $/item is sent out immediately . In over 400+ transactions I have only ONCE had to involve the Boss to resolve an issue. You’re dealing with your reputation and what value you place on it and out of 64,000 members we have very few crooks and they don’t last very long between the type of people on this and the Forum Boss ! Now ask if it is worth $25-$50 a year and the hell with the perks to make your choice. I hope that I have given fence sitters a reason to join and continue being a member. You are needed, and we need each other for this to continue. The epistle is over !!!

Yes, yes, yes! To everything you said, plus the magazine aspects you mentioned are a lot better than some realize, the contributors to the articles are not glorified sales people for the companies who's product they write about, I no longer subscribe to any gun rags other than what the NRA sends to life members, but I do read ours here every day, John

My apologies sir for offending you, I should not have painted with so broad a brush. I realize that there are others out there who cannot afford to contribute and I certainly wasn't speaking of them. I stand corrected, John

I left middle management to run my own business. A sporting goods store. I cater to reloaders, hunters and match shooters plus the overall sportsman. I am in almost 7 years and am the poorest SOB on this forum salary wise, I literally keep a few 20's every little bit for gas and some groceries. My life is my business, I love what I do,I love helping folks, sharing my knowledge and learning new things to. I am rich in relationships though and that gets stuff done. 50 bucks for me is a lot, but it's worth it to me and my business, mostly to me as I am not super active in classifieds unless it's high end. There are egos here that rub me wrong but ultimately we are all on the same course. I refrain from commenting a lot.
