Post your most USELESS piece of reloading equipment….

Looks like an old Herters. If not already equipped, 7/8-14 die adapters are also available.
Yes it’s a Herters. Haven’t done anything with it. The die thread issue (if it’s even an issue) is pretty easy to work around. The non-standard shell holder setup is pretty much a deal killer though. Might clean it up some day and turn it into a shelf weight.

I already told ya RCBS makes a inexpensive adapter for your Herters #3 to accept standard shell holders if ya wanted to use it.

Your saying Lee has a reputation for high quality precision equipment?…..

The dies are. They are responsible for making affordable useable high quality for the mass of reloaders. They have done a lot to advance the sport and culture and make it reachable for untold numbers of new reloaders and shooters. These same people are horrified by the cost and absurdity of the stuff, mostly over done, by competitors. Not referring to niche small business enterprises but Hornady, RCBS, Lyman and others, some now made in China. Their equipment is as good or "high precision" as it needs to be. It is not proffered as bench rest and marked up 200 or 300%. Dies are exhibit A, their basic C press is Exhibit B. Most useless piece reloading equipment - to each his own. Lee carbide pistol dies, useless ? No. As good and precise as any made.

Universal Primer remover die. Only removes primers, doesn't size. Remove Primers on smaller calibers then you have to size with the sizer die. Might as well remove the primers and resize all at the same time with the sizer die. I have one for small caliber and one for larger caliber. What a waste!!

disagree! I have always had the lee universal decapper which does lapua as well. Its only 13 bucks and comes in handy de-capping odds n ends brass instead of having to dig out a specific die. If you paid more than $15 then I agree!

I haven't read through all these posts, but I guess I'll say RCBS Case lube and pad. I've just got better and cleaner alternatives. Hate that goopy stuff. jd
Those synthetic case lube pads had a lot to be desired. I was lucky as I had an older Lyman case lube pad that was made out of fabric, used it for years. The current Lyman case lube pad in nice but I only use it to slightly lube handgun brass to make sizing easier. The Redding case lube paste works great.

100% invented and made in USA since day one. Cant say the same for the over priced chinesium green box stuff. I can load as straight ammo my Lee seater as with my Wilson. Lee just calls 'em a seating die but the WIlson is the renowned 'chamber' seater! But they are both the same! My bet is Lee invented them.

Another POS is the Lee nylon/plastic $20 powder thrower that is more consistent with stick powder than my $230 Redding BR one!!
