Post your most USELESS piece of reloading equipment….

You actually got something from ptg?? All I seem to get is a credit card bill and a 2,3,4,?? Month long wait and no response to requests for info.
Walt,
Centershot,
I will admit I haven’t bought anything from them in several years!…. I have bought multiple reamers some std. several I wanted changes made and a couple of my own design and I talked with Dave Kiff on the phone, he was great to talk to and work with!… I don’t remember the time required to get the reams but it must have been pretty quick as I’m very impatient!… my friend, shooting partner and gunsmith was happy with all the reamers and he still has them. The rifles he has chambered with them have all been competitive and the dies I’ve had made based on the reamer print have worked very well. I’m sorry you have had trouble and as well I wouldn’t like that wait time myself!… like I said I guess I was speaking from 08-to maybe 15 and have not purchased any since then

When I was working at the fire house a couple of us used these to load handgun ammo.

We would sit at the kitchen table and load a couple hundred a night, used to drive the officer in charge crazy, he would go hide in his room. Now I'm the only one left, rest their souls, and I'm still loading and shooting.
I am almost tempted to buy these just for nostalgy sake, but I have enough junk on the bench.
I used to do the same thing if I worked Fri I'd load for the match on Sat morning got several of my partners involved in long range shooting and reloading that way.

REALLY started going Neck Die when I saw "THE VIDEO".

No sure I understand your reply. Are you saying you started neck sizing after watching "THE VIDEO"? If so, what Video.

Regardless, if neck sizing works for you then I'm not one to try and change your mind. I used it for years but always had a problem of unpredictability when chambering issues would begin.

Checking each round before going in the field was not something I preferred to do so I began "full sizing" with a measured shoulder bump. That was the only reason I switched to full sizing - for predictable functionality. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that full sizing, if done properly, does not reduce case life nor does it degrade accuracy. Thus, for me there was no downside to full sizing and a lot of upsides.

I’ll admit you made me check my procedure. So I loaded up 50 rounds for this weekend (load testing) and when I did it confirmed my confidence in the accuracy of my measurements with my Sinclair ogive nut. I also went back to several of my loaded rounds and double checked them which eliminates the possibility of case head abnormalities. My guess for your .020” discrepancy is that you are soft seating your bullets or your brass has become work hardened, lost its elasticity and not gripping the bullet like virgin or annealed brass does. Just a guess, not judging.
i didnt say anything about .020 discrepancy and i think the guy that did was being a little sarcastic. I can get close with the comparator nut if i am really careful but they remind me of the hornady seating depth gage. my measurement depends how hard i push the bullet in.

Yep,
THAT video. I no longer watch ANY content from the source. Sort of like Putin's attempt to prevent NATO membership in neighboring countries actually had the reverse effect of increasing it.
