Stolen powder.

I ordered 8 lbs of powder and was delivered by UPS. Yup, the package arrived but was 8 lbs light. Tape on the bottom was razor bladed open and box was folded shut. Inside was just packing paper and my packing slip. The merchant stated this was happening to them more and more. Now they have to get their money back from the shipper. You have to wonder if this is the next roadblock for reloaders. Having those stupid hazmat stickers on the outside is just making it a target for theft. Oh well, another 8lbs of powder will probably show up on Flea-Bay.

You feel like an idiot telling a guy the barrel you paid for didnt make it when all he has to go by is tracking that says it was delivered. I think i had a SJW there for a little bit filling in for a vacation and the first heavy tube return address was a gun barrel mfr.
If this happened in Europe we would sue ups/fedex- the burden of proof is with them (good luck with that).

What good will that do? Anyone can scratch a "signature" on the little gizmo they're handed. The boy won't ever even look at it, just mutter thanks while walking back to his truck.

Interesting I just signed for two things today, UPS and FedEx wanted some type of ID, this was at work. Same thing from FedEx at home a few weeks ago.

Weird let a bunch of convicted thieves out early, stop prosecuting shoplifters, gang breaking entering. Catalytic converter theft, "legalize drugs" and crime activities go up. Who would have thought.
Funny thing is, there ARE ways to cure most of that BUT nobody wants to admit it or DO what's needed. They had a bad childhood or their Momma treated them bad or they had a bad day or.....
A little bit of UPSIDE THE HEAD as an attitude adjustment does wonders. But But But, that would be against their constitutional rights or some other B*** S*** .
Where are we going and why are we in this hand basket?

I had to B$%^& slap a UPS driver just once. He had me sign for 8 cases of "Beanie Babies" Delivered only 7. I caught him before he got out of the shopping center. My store was full of waiting customers during that craze. Funny my 8th box was up by his seat. I told him, his forman & a "supervisor" that clown gets a new route. I never saw him again. mike in ct

My Amazon drivers are stepping back, and taking pictures of their delivery on my front porch, to prove they delivered...I guess. I think that's a good idea to cover their butt.
They do that here but half the time the picture just shows a door with the package beside it. Not anywhere near enough to recognize where or what house it belongs to.

I've had FedEx leave stuff next door which isn't a huge problem just a nuisance. Most of the time though they leave it with the local post office to deliver it.

Now Purolator managed to loose a complete class 5 trailer hitch receiver for my truck 10 minutes after they picked it up from the sellers warehouse. It did show up 2 weeks later at the post office after I already received the replacement package. I returned the second one to the seller .

So here is my complaint about USPS, today I get home and my wife has ordered something from Amazon, surprise, its sitting between the mailboxes on the horizontal 2x6. Out in the wide open for all to see. And this is after I put up one of those Godzilla size mailboxes AND told the mail carrier (regular and sub) that was what it was for. Boxes that were too big for the regular mailbox and my neighbor and I would share that HUGE box in the middle. I am just glad I have honest neighbors and people that pass by the house. Out here it'd be to friggin easy to just roll up and be gone with it.

So, as a retirement gift to my self, I decided to upgrade my Rigid cordless tools with Milwaukee! I placed a $1800 order with Home Depot. FedEx delivered them on top of my mail boxes. Normally they’ll drop off packages at my door. Even envelopes. my neighbor spotted them and dropped them up to my house.
Don’t know who I was more pissed at, HD for shipping packages in “Red Milwaukee “ boxes, or the jack ass that has zero common sense.

My brother was on vacation, I got a frantic call that he woke up to an email, his Ruger had shipped back the day before after repairs. Sent over night, due for delivery that day. At the time I worked about 3 blocks away from his house. He was going to try and get it diverted to me. Meanwhile I'd keep an eye out for it.

Second trip by the house, the package was clearly visible from the street on the railing of the front porch.

Luckily the Ruger logo was partially covered by the adult signature required, hold for delivery if not there, fire arm enclosed, steal me now and the FedEx stickers.

While driving back to the shop, he called and told me that he had been successful in diverting the package to me and that it would likely arrive the next day. Different drivers for the residential and commercial routes and it had to be transferred..

I really debated whether I should let him know I already had the Blackhawk in hand. We rarely shot together, and he'd probably get a new one any way. Or maybe just one sleepless night on vacation would probably do him good.;)

Probably just make him made that someone at FedEx lied about the delivery change being possible.

Little brother payback syndrome never really goes away:cool:
I let him know I had it in hand.

Trying to figure this out...
Got a delivery confirmation from ups and Powder valley .Screenshot_20220504-103527_Chrome.jpg

I cant tell if ups delivered it to a wrong address and someone returned it or if powder valley re-sent my order.

Either way I expected something malicious.

If usps scans it delivered thats a closed case. They wont listen to any evidence such as timestamped camera footage etc. it has happened to me quite a bit lately, but only on gun barrels for some reason. Its not like they are easy to replace right now and even if you insure them for $10k they wont pay- it was delivered is all they know

Dusty : That's not quite accurate . There is a SURE fire method of insuring delivery , SIGNATURE REQUESTED .
CAN'T be refused or refuted . I had a valuable shipment and MY UPS driver is and did became one of MY Best Friends . Before that He was just My delivery man ,if a customer has something of value insure it and request Signature delivery . YOU will get it and if it is lost or stolen THEY WILL PAY IT !.

Insurance is just that YOU pay a premium price for it and by Law the insurer MUST PAY IT .
Flip side IF You try defrauding the delivery or insurer , Your azz can be put in JAIL !.

I personally know someone who had it happen to one of his employee's ,got caught and got SERIOUS Jail time plus a felony record !. Don't see where that was very smart on his part ,because the total theft amounted to $6,500.00 . Just plain STUPID for chump change if you ask me !.
