Stolen powder.

I had a large suitcase in a box delivered to a house a block over with the same number different street. I knocked on the door and they said no nothing here. About fifteen minutes later a person dropped off a large box with my suitcase. Not only did they not bother to see or look at the name on the label but opened the box, took out the suitcase and removed the packing before they brought it to my house. Not the first time that's happened with that house. What gets me is why don't they look on the label to see if it's even addressed to them in the first place!

Get this, I was sent a second large suitcase by Amazon and I said I only ordered one.....ah,that's o.k. just keep it, we did, and were never charged for it.

Hopefully you get it back, we have packages delivered by UPS all the time to the house down the road, the nice lady brings it to us within a few hours normally but the world is full of dishonest people so it’s not a guaranteed deal. Its not a perfect system but simply dispute it with your CC company If it doesn’t show up within a few days. They will refund your money but the problem comes from not being able to simply reorder it..

I’d be willing to bet it was taken to the wrong address and someone thr signed for it, it happens every day and they could really care less. They operate off the numbers game and don’t have the manpower to look into these screw “ups“

I used to live in the middle of ten acres of woods. Drive alarm and camera kept a eye on who was coming and going. Never had a problem with deliveries. Now I live in a group of townhouses on a private cul de sac, no thru trafic and lots of retired folk keeping an eye on things. Still no problem with deliveries.

It's all up to the company that's sending the item on what needs to be signed for.
Alcohol, tobacco and firearms are the only signature needed items by the Government.
Brownell's requires a signature on their Haz Mat del.
Others don't, yet.

My primer/powder deliveries always say direct signature required on the tracking but I've never had to sign for them either. But I also live in Utah. I think they just put direct signature required on every shipment incase it goes to a state that has stricter laws.

Haz mat needing an over 21 signature is the law but if a driver knows you wont have kids grabbing it or stealing it they will leave it. My ups guy calls me then leaves it, fed ex makes me chase them down

Save your Amazon boxes , then around Christmas etc fill them with something horrible and leave them out for the porch pirates... If you have cameras it's even better....
Not to hijack the thread, but...

I save Amazon boxes and fill them up with "dog sausage" from the backyard. I've had 3 out of 5 taken from the front porch.

To keep them from leaking and staining the box, I use an old dog food bag for "collection".

Recycling works! It's made my life better.
