Stolen powder.

Yesterday UPS was to deliver a shipment of powder to my home.

Got an email saying it was delivered and notes that the driver met with resident...while I was still at work.
In other words someone intercepted the package claiming they were me.

Called Powder Valley and they started an investigation.

If anyone sees 8lb jug of H4831sc and 5 one pounders of Ramshot Magnum for sale in the classifieds let me know.

No one would know that a delivery was being made, except the driver/company. Only UPS and shipper the contents. Sounds solvable. Probably not prosecuted though.

Ring Camera is about $50- If you are going to get any other deliveries to your home....

I had a crooked UPS driver few years ago. Did same thing with a box with two rangefinders and two bino sets. The company I purchased them from took care of everything.

New UPS driver told me they fired that guy for stealing.

Don’t worry it will take some time after their investigation but ups will refund Powder Valley.

i have had some things delivered to the neighbors and some of their stuff delivered to me

Lets just say Shit happens...I too have had delivery conformation notices...with no delivery.
The next day they have come back and dropped said item off.....like they found it in the Truck
or some other thang.....In any case Im real disturbed with the delivery notice...like what the hell is that about if they made no delivery or even an attempt.

When UPS scans a package delivered it will be logged on there live gps scanner where scan took place. Your address or other. So i found out when i had package missing and filed claim. It was delivered to my neighbors address and gps showed it was scanned at that address as delivered. They were on vaca. UPS tracked and told me what it was delivered too.

A couple of weeks ago I had a package that showed delivered. Not to be found on my porch, walked up the street and saw a package on my neighbors porch. I went up to look and sure enough it was mine. Honest mistake as our house numbers are similar. (4380/4390) So likely one of your neighbors got it mistakenly.

The other Company Fed Ex was to make a delivery to Me years ago and it was overdue .
So I called Fed Ex and they stated it had been delivered two days prior ,at 10 PM on My front porch .

Told the nice Lady ,there was simply a small problem with that : I close the compound gates at 6:00 PM as MY Two Sentry's are released and as I found NO Bodies or Packages , I'll assume someone is mistaken .

Two days later they call Me and say they've got MY packages ,as there was a problem with delivery driver .

That mid day a special courier drives up with My packages ,insist I open and verify content to insure ALL was intact .

A month later on the local news I see a Fed Ex driver who was in handcuffs on the TV , seems he was overwhelmed and unable to deliver in excess of #200 packages ,so TOOK them Home .

In reality it was cutting into his drinking time allotment ,he was a drunk and several customers complained smelling alcohol on him at 9:00 AM .

If usps scans it delivered thats a closed case. They wont listen to any evidence such as timestamped camera footage etc. it has happened to me quite a bit lately, but only on gun barrels for some reason. Its not like they are easy to replace right now and even if you insure them for $10k they wont pay- it was delivered is all they know

You feel like an idiot telling a guy the barrel you paid for didnt make it when all he has to go by is tracking that says it was delivered. I think i had a SJW there for a little bit filling in for a vacation and the first heavy tube return address was a gun barrel mfr.

Two days ago I was expecting an upright freezer. Tracking showed being delivered by USPS and showed being delivered. Checked front porch and in front of garage, nothing. We got a new German Short-hair puppy that is in frantic mode all the time and has chewed a few smaller packages till i put a big plastic storage box with deliveries written on it.

Might sound dumb but yes I did check in the delivery box and the oversized mailbox at the end of the drive. It would have been too big to have been dragged off by Duncan the dog. Then kinda dawned on me, how was the mail lady gonna deliver the freezer in her compact delivery car.

Figured I'd see what would happen the next day, wife said a Fed-X truck delivered it and surprisingly no dents or damage. He said usually things that large look pretty rough when he drops them off. Still wonder how it went from being delivered by USPS one day to Fed-X the next day? Just glad it made it before shelves become bare.

About 10 years ago, I had about 24# of powder show up on my front porch. And it wasn't mine!

Opened it and it was full of magnum pistol powders, something I have none of. My address wasn't even similar to the address it was going (though it was in the same neighborhood). I figure the UPS guy just figured "giant box full of gunpowder, must go to that crazy Catfur guy on xxx."

I did hand deliver it to the right address.

After a SOB snatch and grabbed a tool box and weed eater out of my truck last summer, I was maybe 50’ away under a mower, never heard a thing nor did the dog, I have been a bit paranoid.
Last few big box items I have had shipped I had it sent to work.
I am about to the point of having to have a signature on anything I receive or ship to.
A few of us got scammed a year or so here, so much for a USPS MO. Zero satisfaction from that, may as well send a check to folks and save $5.

Save your Amazon boxes , then around Christmas etc fill them with something horrible and leave them out for the porch pirates... If you have cameras it's even better....
