Price of fuel drives the nails in the coffin

In the "Oil Capitol of ND" yesterday gas was up to $3.89 and #2 diesel fuel hit $4.39

It's a 400 mile minimum drive to any long range IBS match from here
 
Well head for March Madness Match next week in Sac. CA. Gas now $429 in Central Oregon. I see $5.00 to $6.00 in Cal. Irent a House in Plymouth CA. most years and this year.
The State of Ca. adds a extra cost for Friday ,Sat. & Sun. Week end days $150 ?????

This trip will support Russian War , and Lefty Gov. in Ca.

Keeping the gas Pedal at 63 = 23.5 MPG ???

Is that $150 per day or on the top? Either way it's bullshit. Have a safe trip enjoy yourself.

Don if your only driving 63mph, ya better get started in the morning. Its a 5hour trip for me 75mph, your 3.5 hours the other side.

You can't compete against a region if all they shoot is 2 and 3 yardage matches everytime when your shooting one yardage matches 50% of the time in a different region. Last year 5 of the top 20 were from the north and that only happened because of an incident down south that left some people choosing sides. I've heard people say I don't care about points, BUT you ask them in two weeks why didn't you go to last weeks match, they will tell u there was not enough points to accumulate. I mean come on. All your doing is hurting the sport by not participating and supporting ALL the ranges and the organization whoever it may be because you want to pick and choose the shoots because of points. Your there because u like shooting not to earn points. If people want to earn F'IN points use your God damn credit card. Do away with the points crap. A lot of old timers said the same thing to me that this points thing has really hurt this game.

I'm like Jimmymac. Chased points in every hobby, drag racing, tractor pulling, 3d archery, and now Ubr.
Points keep people coming to more events so they know how end of season results stack up against the rest of the field.
Sometimes the wallet will provide more opportunities, most of the time the top competitor is not the deepest pocketed in the race.

Jimmy I wasn't directing anything at you so please don't take it that way. You don't play the same game as me so you don't know what's been going on as far as SSOY goes. This is a real sore subject for me because I've seen friends turn into enemies because of the points bullshit.

We got another round of snow today also with 40+ mph winds. I'm waaaay behind on getting a gun tuned let alone both. Then there's the job LOL it's like a conspiracy to keep me from getting to DC this month!
 
For myself the April match just a couple weeks after makes the most sense economically but geez I would like to stop shoveling and start tuning

The battery is 76 kWh and I pay about 11 cents a kWh. Usually I squeeze ~160-180 miles out of the battery. I charge to 80% and never go lower than 10%.

Best part about it is that I got a year of free charging and there are plenty of free chargers around if you know where to look. I used to spend $100 a week commuting. Now I do it for damn near pocket change.
