What rifle ??

Thinking hard of getting into some rimfire shooting. Looking for a good quality gun that I could shoot at the range and could possibly be able to do ok in like a factory class match for fun. Don’t want to spend a fortune but don’t want junk either. Any suggestions would be appreciated thank you.

Cz and Tikka are very good, but...if your budget would allow. Take a look at a good used Anschutz

I'm learning ammo is just as important as the rifle, if not more depending on which rifle is chosen.

Bergara B14R is a very good gun. https://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/bergara-b14r-at-the-range-today.4059350/ The Tikka T1X is very good also. I had a CZ 455 Varmint, shot good, but sold it when I got the Bergara.

Look around to see what "type" of matches are in your area, and what the rules are BEFORE you buy. ABRA has a "outlaw" class, both in light and heavy barrel bolt action, so what you want may/may not qualify. ARA factory class is more restrictive as to which qualify for factory class IIRC. Local club rules only, well, ask them what's legal and what's not. When all else fails, obtain a copy of the rules for the matches/organization, and go from there.
