Getting mixed replies

I have a P Dog hunt in July, I live at about 650 ft ASL,
I am going to South Dakota and they are around 1500 feet ASL.
My question is: I am zeroed at 100 yards @ 650 feet.
Should I check for zero at 1500 feet. Rifles are in hard cases
For travel, inside my truck

There will be two things to do, one is to verify or re-zero when you start up, and the other is to plan for dope that is for the DA you expect where you are hunting.

I have had to re-zero rifles for many folks on PD trips, and then I also find they arrive without the proper dope. I built a portable ShotMarker target frame because I got tired of changing paper, and I also haul the LabRadar on every trip, and they have both saved lots of folks from wasting shots and time.

That amount of change in elevation is going to have very little effect, particularly at shorter ranges. And as others have suggested, it's always a good idea to verify your zero once you've arrive at your hunting destination.

That change will have very little effect on your zero. Don't worry about it, go out and shoot Pads and have fun your on vacation.
Your range estimation will be more flawed than the zero being off.
Hope you have a great shoot!

I learned many years ago to always pack a small paper/cardboard target attached to a stick.

The target is only about 6 inches square and the stick is a 1 by 1 about 2 feet long. You may not need it, but if you do, it only takes a minute to stick it in a pd hole and you can check to see what's going on.

I hunt in TEXAS elev . 700 +/- We go to Colorado elev 6500 +/- Never had to re Zero. We do shoot first, but NEVER had to change the zero. Just my two cents Tommy Mc

You're making too much out of this. Sure, check zero when you get to SD but don't worry about the change in altitude.
