If you think privatizing the post office is going to make a difference, then yes, please explain it.

I received an email from a firearms internet/brick and mortar store advising they would no longer mail sales brochures to their customers. They say it's taking 2-3 weeks for delivery and by then the promotions have ended or many items are out of stock. If junk mailers stop using USPS, the end can't be far so hold on to your wallets. Uncle Sam won't let the post office go under, no matter what it costs YOU.

At least there is a chance it will be run more efficiently. So far Government run entities are running a 100% failure rate-except for the military services which will not be far behind now that the priority is to purge the ranks of blue-eyed, fair skinned "domestic terrorist's."

So, let me see if I understand you correctly. It appears to me that you are saying that our military will soon be a 100% failure rate service because all the blue-eyed, fair-skinned soldiers will be purged. Being a Native American, (Apache-Navajo) I detest you and your post. . I am a 100% disabled, combat Vietnam veteran. But my service probably doesn't mean a thing to you because I am not blue-eyed and fair-skinned.

So I sold some primed brass to a member at another forum. He mailed a M.O. after the holiday and I yet to receive it. I'm not waiting on pins and needles for the money I just hate to see him have to file a claim in case it was lost or worse yet stolen. This is the first time I've been really late getting some mail from someone. I'm sure it's more frustrating for him than me. Rant off.

Perhaps the USPS could improve their efficiency and revenue stream if they eliminated the reduced rate junk mail. It seems like 90% of the mail I get falls into this category.

I don't know for certain if it's currently the same but that bulk rate junk mail used to make up a big part of USPS income. I don't receive nearly as much 'junk mail' as I used to and I'd venture a guess that the reduction in volume is one of problems with revenue generation.

I sold an item to a buyer in New Jersey. I'm in Texas. The buyer sent payment USPS Express Next Day Delivery. He paid nearly $40 for that expedited service. The delivery was to be made yesterday by noon. It's now the day after at 12:30 PM and I still have not received delivery. I advised him to request a refund which he did. Just another in an already long line of what would normally be considered embarrassing service failures. The sad commentary is that the USPS could not care less. If they were not propped up by our tax dollars, they would have been bought out and privatized decades ago. Unlike the private sector, they suffer no penalty for failure.

Update: It's now 2:07 PM and the Express Delivery came. I met the USPS carrier at my mail box and she handed me 2 pieces of junk mail and was about to drive away when I asked if she had an Express delivery for me. She looked around her seating area and said, "Oh yes, I'm glad you asked", then retrieved the envelop, scanned it and handed it to me. I did not say 'thank you'. Doesn't that beat all?

I have finally had my first bad taste (well this year at least). I Mailed a check 3 day priority on March 23rd. I mean how many times can it go back to the same facilities....

I met the USPS carrier at my mail box and she handed me 2 pieces of junk mail and was about to drive away when I asked if she had an Express delivery for me. She looked around her seating area and said, "Oh yes, I'm glad you asked", then retrieved the envelop, scanned it and handed it to me. I did not say 'thank you'. Doesn't that beat all?

And probably showed no sense of embarrassment due her head being up her rear. Did she at least give the Cammela giggle? This is why mail-in voting is an absurd idea-every vote won't count because many ballots will be "lost"

Well, nothing beats sitting at home waiting for a FEDEX shipment only two have them say, "Delivery attempt failed, No one home." I have a game camera on my gate. they have not been here I have proof and they are being jerks. I also put a game camera up 3 miles from my house. No Fedex truck on the camera.. Bunch of damn liars..

Its not uncommon to receive advance notice of delivery from both UPS and FedX for next day delivery, and they fail to show. That wastes a day for me when I needed to be somewhere else. LDS

I used to get messages from UPS that delivery was impossible due to road conditions often in the winter. When I asked the UPS delivery center to explain why my front wheel drive car could travel 180 miles round trip on the same day their driver claimed the roads were impassible I noticed I had a new driver.

I purchased some brass from Trail Head Guns in Rock Springs, Wyoming, last Saturday. It went in the U.S. Mail the same day, it was here at my home in Central Washington on Tuesday at 12:30 PM. It can't get any better than that!!
