Anyone else keep getting asked this question?

Had a guy go through a friend to get to me wanting to "borrow" reloading tools.
I offered to help him but my tools weren't going anywhere.
He got pissed like I wss being selfish...

Ps you can't borrow my boat, truck, house, tools, guns.....

But you can have my ex wife.

A guy told me years ago to never loan out your chain saw or your wife because when they are returned, they are not in the same condition as when they left.

Yep, loaded for a friend once long ago. He wanted ammo to shoot out of an old Trapdoor Springfield carbine. I cast 100 rds out of softer lead like they used back then and loaded them all up. He offered me half of what I told him it would cost and I was accused of being a jerk and gouging. Never again wont even think about it.

During the bad riots in 2020, I had liberal friends ask me to lend them firearms. "Absolutely not" was the answer. I explained the process for buying their own, with background checks (and, being in CA, ammo background checks too). They were not happy.
Had the same experience this past week. Seems a neighbor got in to a kerfuffle on farcebook and was afraid someone was going to come to his house for retribution. Wanted to borrow a gun for a few days, until after the inauguration. No way Jose was my reply. Even scarier, years ago one of my young son's friend's mother wanted to borrow a gun. Gave a shaky reason and I said no way. Less than a week later, she killed her abusive boyfriend with a borrowed gun.

I was in line today waiting to get into a store to check for any loading components. This a__h___ had the nurve to tell me he drives all over buying what he can and selling it. He has over 30,000 primers and lots of powders. Sells primers for $400per 1,000. He did not like it when i said i hate people like him. I dont agree on buying all you can and selling to others that way. Wounder if he bought up tp and hand sanitizer months back
He was probably blowing smoke. Most shops I deal with have a limit of 200 primers.

From time to time I do. I did load a good friend some 30-06 and 30-30 (thanks to two members here who answered my ad to buy RN or FN .308" bullets suitable for a tubular magazine. I have some components but not enuf to answer the 1K or 2K call.

The past few days have had several text and phone calls looking for or wanting primers, ammo or me to load for them. I told all NO, very plainly.
One was a plain A hole about it. I told him poor planning on your part does not make an emergency on mine.

Some of these folks I didn’t recognize the name at all. I may well drive around the city and put their phone # on a few truck stop bathroom stalls.
Better yet I would like to know who is passing my info on as having “supplies”.

Pass their info on as, "having supplies and willing to reload for you" to each other and get them bothering each other instead of you.

Ask the guy from Chandler , Az. about the liability issue concerning loading and selling ammo to strangers , or even friends . The "Buyer" was the Vegas shooter ....Been asked this question lately by some of the same people who called me all kinds of nasty names , pre-election . Have had those same people now asking me to teach them to load , and would I sell them any of my guns , too ? No , No , and Hell No ! Funny how so many of the anti-gun haters , who scream about more extensive back-ground checks , and more stiffer penalties and Federal laws , are also the ones trying to get others to break existing laws to supply "THEM" with firearms and ammo for their protection against the chaos they voted for . Hope they choke on their Code-pink & Blomberg signs .

During the previous ammo crisis, I was requested by three different "friends" to purchase rimfire ammo from me. I told them....I don't feel right charging what these are going for now, I am going to give these to you on the condition you pay me back when available again. GUESS how many people have paid me back????

I’ll guess, the same amount that that brought books back that I loaned them!

I had 2 liberal friends ask me how to get a firearm without background check and registration . neither has a criminal record .. I told them the only way to do it was join the nra

Why would you tell them that?? Joining the NRA does nothing to stop from having to get a background check and will further the belief that NRA members are skirting the law.

Now would be a good time to locate them and invite them to a gunshow. OK Dude. Time to pay the fiddler.

Or, see if you can borrow back the same ammo.
