Contact your State insurance bureau/department and file a complaint on the grounds of discrimination against a lawful trade, if that is the only reason they refused to quote you.

I am guessing you are in the firearms industry ? Or something connected to guns. Right ?

I hate to say it but this is what discrimination lawsuits are for. We will see more and more of this behavior until it starts to eat away at their bottom line. Money talks.

If that’s not discrimination, I don’t know what is. Are gun folk inherently bad drivers? I can’t imagine them saying they don’t provide coverage to Chinese people.

That'd be my guess too. If this particular agent were to quote, they would likely be high. I'd file a complaint and move on to someone more agreeable.

In other news, anybody in the TX Hill Country going to the gun show in New Braunfels this weekend? I hear it's a smallish event, and I guess State Farm won't be sponsoring it, but maybe worth a one-time visit?

I tried to get a quote for my house and cars from state farm about 4 years ago. In the process I mentioned I had a gun shop on site. I was told they could not insure me and that was that.

If I dont get the response I'm looking for I'll look into USAA.
USAA is by far the easiest company I've dealt with in the shop when it comes to paying claims on vehicles, followed only by State Farm.
