It Happened to Me -- Insurance

We went shopping for insurance for my company owned truck. State Farm declined to quote it. After pressing them as to why, we were told they don't do business with anyone in THAT industry.
Dave,
Contact your State insurance bureau/department and file a complaint on the grounds of discrimination against a lawful trade, if that is the only reason they refused to quote you.

Wow! If that was posted by someone else I might think it was BS. I'm going to look into this. SF and myself may be parting ways very soon.

SF could be opening themselves up to a very expensive lawsuit.
If that’s not discrimination, I don’t know what is. Are gun folk inherently bad drivers? I can’t imagine them saying they don’t provide coverage to Chinese people.

Some of you must have been in a coma for the last 4yrs. Discrimination
by the media has been going on that long and since Nov 3 it has been blatantly plain in other fields. OBTW after Jan 20 you wont have any trouble recognizing it. The rules for the game will be: "makum as you play". The end result: the left wins. LDS

The career criminal that seems to be moving into the White House said he would only nominate a black woman for VP. That's sexist and racist. If that's not discrimination...

In other news, anybody in the TX Hill Country going to the gun show in New Braunfels this weekend? I hear it's a smallish event, and I guess State Farm won't be sponsoring it, but maybe worth a one-time visit?

I tried to get a quote for my house and cars from state farm about 4 years ago. In the process I mentioned I had a gun shop on site. I was told they could not insure me and that was that.

I'll talk with my SF agent.
If I dont get the response I'm looking for I'll look into USAA.
USAA is by far the easiest company I've dealt with in the shop when it comes to paying claims on vehicles, followed only by State Farm.
