Like many other problems where the government steps in to "save us", the Covid has become a new industry that many powerful people and companies (and the government) will never want to end.
There are already a bunch of agencies, corporations, businesses of all sizes, on down to private individuals who are making big money off of this "crisis". You're kidding yourself if you think they will be happy if it ever ends, or that it will ever end.
Do you think the EPA really wants to solve environmental problems, or that the military industrial complex wants peace on earth?
This is the greatest scam since global warming.
"They" have taken a crisis with some true tragedy involved, and turned it into trillions of dollars. -- and may well have destroyed our country in the process.

In a recent Kekst CNC poll, British respondents estimated that nearly 7 percent of the UK population has died from the coronavirus. That would be 4.5 million people. Scots supposed that more than 10 percent of the UK population has died. That would be seven million people. Astonishingly, Americans believed that COVID has killed 9 percent of their compatriots, or almost 30 million people!

As a 63 year old I can only speak for myself but I very much support unprotected sex. I even support protected sex. The more the better. Given the plethora of dick commercials on all broadcast and streaming media paths, the parts necessary to such activities are bound to quit working eventually. Gitter done while those parts are still working and before covid consumes us. I would say that the wife supports this viewpoint, that might be a lie.
My wife gets a kick out of me going about my business.
I practice unprotected breathing, no face condoms for me.
This e-cigarette was supposed to kill me too.

This week, 51 years ago in 1969, over 400,000 young people turned a muddy, manure-filled cow pasture in Bethel, New York into a small nation of love, peace and rock’n’roll. This was, of course, the legendary Woodstock. Two months later, half a million people took over Washington, DC for the Moratorium March – the largest anti-war protest in the history of the USA. Half the deaths were among people younger than 65 – the reverse of the Covid-19 pandemic, where the vast majority of those affected are elderly. Hong Kong Flu also killed around 30,000 in the UK and between one and four million people, globally.
Looking back from our Covid era to that time, the most remarkable thing about the Hong Kong Flu pandemic is that it hardly features in the memories of those who experienced it. In December 1968, the New York Times described the pandemic as ‘one of the worst in the nation’s history’. Yet it’s as if it never happened.

I'm with you in spirit, believe me. But it would be asinine to assume that particular observation is in any way relevant to virus transmission.

I absolutely agree. That particular observation points out rates of infection and did not indicate it was a virus study. It also is an eye opener to me at least. Approximately 99.9% of the masks I see are NOT N95 or KN95 masks. They are two ply paper or t-shirt material and many are filthy, which indicates there is no telling what is growing in that mask. Add to that many people do not wear the mask properly.
So, what is really asinine, to me at least, is that it appears a few people can decide to mandate how we live our everyday life. And there is evidence in the numbers that masks do no good. I concede that the masks I see are probably excellent at slowing the velocity of vapor that could be carrying a virus, but they are not protecting anyone and they are certainly not stopping the virus. They also give a false sense of security.

Brett, I was up in your neck of the woods today, and it was pretty "masky". Besides you, I was the other guy who wasn't masked. Unspecified medical and psychological reasons preclude me from the application of a covering to my olfactory and oral orifices. jd
