+ 1 on Dusty's post. There are several good flags out there and Ezell's flags are REALLY good and have some features that others don't. JME. WD
Those flags are down in my other house in Massachusetts. I might shoot a match in CT on Saturday and Sunday. If I go I will set up the BRT's at 100 and the JPM'S at two and take a picture of each set-up then post it on here.

Tony, the spotting scope thing will not work. A flag shows just what happened and then by the time you get back on your rifle the condition is gone.

We use American flags on bamboo poles out to 1,000 yards. Under $10 from Harbor Freight. China makes cheap American flags. 
Observe the angle between the flag and the flag pole.
Estimate the angle. This can be eyeballed fairly easily and it doesn’t have to be 100% accurate to give you a reasonable estimate for wind speed.
Divide the angle by four. The result will be your wind speed in mph. For example, if your flag is flying at 40 degrees, dividing it by four will give you the result of 10 mph.

Found a picture from 2 years ago. Jim Cline just loves them JPM flags. He came up to shoot in Damariscotta Maine from SC last July and he was sharing my bench. His comment was, "You expect me to shoot over those faggity ass flags"? Every time he see's them you can expect a comment of some sort, BUT they stand out above all the others for sure. You watch if he see's this picture he'll have something to say.

You mean someone who grew up taking the short bus to school, or do you mean someone from Provincetown, Mass?

We sell a gimbal mount and a level so that you can level your flag as you set them up. You need just one level as you just place it on the flag you are setting at the moment.

Got that Idea from Charles Huckaba about 20 years ago. Ball swivels are very inexpensive. BRT sells all of those items.
