Need advice on wind flags for home range

I currently have a 1000 yard range on my property that I use for shooting at 300, 600, and 1000 yards. I shoot both benchrest and F class. I have some small portable wind flags currently but would like to install something more permanent. I was thinking of installing a flag pole at 300, 600, and 900 yards. The last 100 yards of my range is cut into a woods. I'm looking for advice including what wind flags to install. I was looking at the NRA flags but they seem too large for my purpose. They are 12 feet long. I'm also curious what height I should install the flags at. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
