Corona at work

One of my close friends at work tested for the Wuhan virus. He has been off work for 13 days now due to quarantine. No real symptoms to speak of. The guy was high risk too. Cancer survivor, some heart issues. Really glad nothing came of it. Knock on Wood. We have about 1200 people that work for the same company as us on the job site. 1 person tested positive. Miraculous odds.

It made me curious if anyone on the forum has had it? Not People you may know or heard about, people on the forum. If you did have it, how bad where your symptoms? Mild? Respritory distress? We have quite a few members here, It would be interesting to know the numbers for our group?

I watched a video of DR. Bruce Lipton stating that this was in fact a flu virus. He also said that 50 percent of the people tested had already had it and didn't even know it. If You are interested look up "The truth about this madness / DR Bruce Lipton" on you tube. Dr Lipton has credentials if you look them up.

Personally I feel that I did indeed have it although I haven't got any proof. This past Christmas I came down with splitting headache, solid congestion, constant and I mean constant cough, shortness of breath, fever of about 100.2. Went to the Dr. And tested negative for flu. Was given a Zpack and albuterol inhaler. The inhaler helped but the z-pack did absolutely nothing. Exactly 7 weeks later I was finally 100% over it. The constant coughing is what lasted till the bitter end.

Friend of mine had the exact same symptoms and problems I did. I'm 99.999% sure I got it from him.

if I ever qualify to get tested to see if I have previously had it I will be more than glad to

Same here...first to middle of Feb. we all had something that
Dr.s said wouldn't the flu or strep. Oldest son had a fever for
4 or 5 days and chest congestion with a cough that lasted weeks.
He was worst than the rest of us but we all got something.
He said he felt like he couldn't breath and had a headache to
start with.

Last November and December here in central Texas everyone I know came down with the exact symptoms as Corona... Everyone but me went to the doctor and got tested for the flu and it wasn't the flu... It was highly contagious and everywhere.... Alot of people are wondering if that was it back then... You would cough till you thought your stomach muscles were gonna tear.... Nothing the doctors were handing out ( zpacks , shots , etcs ) would touch it... Alot of people were going 2 ,3 ,4 times to the doctor and being tested for the flu and nothing was coming up they didn't know what it was in my opinion....OR maybe they did and weren't saying..? Very strange indeed.... It would last for about 30 days.... I had it in the middle of November myself and my wife....

Those antibody tests are expected to start rolling out in two weeks. If you think you had it, it would be worth getting tested. You may be able to help. I have a good friend and his wife who had those same symptoms in January. Took them weeks to get over it.

Maybe. In early March when this all boiled up, my wife was in the Amazon basin in Ecuador. She got word Saturday night, the airports were closing at midnight Sunday night until April 1 at least. She just made it out. Precautions in Quito airport were excellent, Bogota Columbia precaution were none existent. She came though customs in Houston, and people were like cattle being loaded on a stock truck, terrible with no consideration regarding Covid19.

4 days later, she started having fatigue and symptom unlike an upper respiratory infection. 2 days later, I started having the same. She is now at day 14 with still quite a bit of fatigue. I'm at day 12, and would say I'm improving faster, but I have tried to take things easier.

We could have never gotten an order to be tested since we didn't have fever or cough. When the blood test for the antibodies becomes available, we will both test. All I can say with certainty, it was different than anything I have ever had in my life.

I was down in CO for about a week in early December and picked up something that sounds exactly like you’re describing. I hadn’t been sick in about 5 years and whatever I got was nasty too. After battling it for a couple weeks, it morphed into Bronchitis and a sinus infection. Finally had to go in to get antibiotics and an inhaler to kick it. The dry cough lasted well over a month.

I had the same thing end of Nov through Dec I could not breathe I was afraid to go to sleep when I would wake up I could not get any air...I have never been that sick..could not cough it up had my wife pound my back for hours while I laid on couch angled downward. trying to break somethin loose finally went to doc got a shot and Advair finally got over it coughed up gunk for 3 wks my lungs were full almost..it was scary for me never never been like that

I totally believe I had it in January. I had all the symtoms related to it and carried a fever of 103.8 for several hours with taking cool showers to help cool it down. Went to my Dr. and was treated with an injection,a Z-Pac and albuterol inhaler. It lasted for several days past the trip to the Dr. and the steady death defying cough lasted for at least another 3 to 4 weeks afterwards. I am 65 years old and feel I was lucky to survive it. Thank God. Whatever I had was the worst thing I believe I ever remember having as far as any type of cold, flu, or any related illness.

Similar thing happened to me. My family doctor sent me for an X-ray, and then diagnosed me with "walking pneumonia".

Thanks guys. This is scary as the same story plays out all over the country a month or three before it was released on the news. I am certainly glad everyone came out alive. I'm sure there are more stories coming.

Whether it was the same thing or not needs to be determined. The antibody test is the only way to find out.

I think they knew about this, long before they were saying. My wife got something real bad in Jaunuary. Fever for days, then couldn't breathe. It lasted forever and her lungs rattled with fluid. She called her cancer Dr in Phila and they said go to your local Dr rather then driving all the way down here. She called her Dr and they said we are not taking any flu patients because we can't test for it. Matt

Late November and into early December, both the Wife and I picked up something. Dry cough, fever for a short time. Felt like death warmed over. Same symptoms as the virus thing. Mine lasted just about a month and the wife's a little longer. Wife's neck glands swelled and hurt so she chose to see the Dr. Her's went into her chest a bit. They did the swab thing, virus so you'll have to live with it a bit longer. She WAS on the mend anyway.
In the Dr. office, girls behind the counter had the cough. Crap was sure going around.
Wife doesn't believe we had the "virus" but I think we did. No use getting into a BIG discussion over it with her. ;) Same symptoms as the virus so who really knows for sure. Funny thing is, nobody made a big deal out of it then. Now it's a different story. I still kinda think the fix was in.
Eldest daughter had it, youngest daughter had it, grandson had it, great grand daughter had it, and a few other folks I know had it. Call it what you want, I think it was THE virus.

I get a dry terrible cough when I get a cold. Never have had a flu, never a flu shot. Antibody test will give us a better idea about how easy it spreads and how many actually develop symptoms vs asymmetric. A couple years ago I had to go thru rabies shot treatment, I had a low rabies antibody count be before shots started. No bite, hand to face transfer after using drag rope in coyote mouth.
