25-06 to 30-06

Basically up-sizing case neck.

I have an accurate 30-06 rifle and would like to reform some 2506 brass to reload as 3006. Make sense?
I figure it might be easkier to fire-form cases than neck size, though more expensive.
Any thoughts?

I think your neck wall thickness will be too thin. If it is, the cases probably won't last too long before they split.

Experiment with one or two cases and see what happens. Measure the before and after neck thicknesses.

I took a Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor case and turned it into a Lapua .30 cal Creedmoor case and only decreased the neck wall thickness about 0.001". From 0.138 to 0.013". Annealling is key to successful expansion. Good luck....

Your expanded brass will be shorter than nominal specs for the .30-06.

when you can buy new lapua 30-06 cases, why waste time with making something else work? the 25-06 case would be shorter than spec and you'd most likely end up with a mean donut in the bottom of the neck from expanding the shoulder. Also, 25-06 brass seems to be a fair bit harder to find and more expensive than the ever available 30-06.
