That ring halfway down the shoulder will likely stay for awhile if you don't anneal. The ring bugged me, but after a fireform shot and a good anneal, they pretty much disappeared after that. I actually use the ring as a gauge of how stout my fireform load is.
I also found that I had no issues annealing first, then running through the 25-06 die. Done that way, there was virtually no ring when fireformed with a mid range load. Now...that was with Lake City brass...if you tried the same with commercial brass you may find that annealing first may soften the brass too much and the shoulder may collapse...ask me how I know
