Looking to Buy a New or Used Used Primer tool. Hand Primer or Bench?

I had all the collets for a Lee hand primer I broke years ago, so I just bought another one. It totally sucks. It will not feed primers into the ram without a ton of shaking, fiddling, etc. and it takes ten times longer to prime than it should. Also uncomfortable. I'm sending it back today.

I don't want to spend the money on one of the uber expensive ones, so was looking at used, or one of the Bald Eagle adjustable bench primers. I like the idea of being able to adjust the ram.

Will the RCBS doe the job or should I hold out for a used one that's a little better? The bald eagle bench one is under $100, but it would be more convenient to store and transport a hand primer to the range and is still more than Identification like to spend.

I used a RCBS APS bench mounted primer system for awhile and it worked really well. I recently sold it to a member on here because I went back to a press system. I have broke way too many hand primers for whatever reason and now only use one with handgun brass, rifle is all on the press now.

I have the rcbs hand primer that uses the shell holders. It works good but changing shell holders sucks. I have one that uses the two clamps like the forester coax does also rcbs and i will give that a try. I decided it was the one for me after watching it being used on johnny's reloading bench. He was not making a pitch for it but i was sold.

I use the Bald Eagle. The finish is a little rough, but I like the click-adjustable depth and the bench mount. The hand priming tools are tough on my thumb, although the K&M is a great tool.

+1 for the RCBS bench model. I've had one for 40+ years. The RCBS shell holders seem a little soft. I use Lee or Forster shell holders, some I've had to grind out the primer hole a little for clearance of the primer cup.

How about the Forster Benchtop priming tool? I'm needing a new one that's easier on these arthritic concrete finishing hands. OR does the RCBS beat it out?

What is your intended use, mass production or precision? A K&M is a good brand priming tool for getting a good feel but not so good for high production.

I've been using the Forester Benchtop tool for years. I've tried others but keep coming back to the Forester. No hassles and it works, what more can you ask for?

The Lee bench priming tool is my choice. LDS
Larry, I purchased a "new" lee priming tool on your post that it worked. It didn't, doesn't and never will. I gave that POS to my brother. He ended up throwing it away. Lee engineers worked really hard to make a product that doesn't work.
