could someone look me up on snipers hide?

It appears I have been banned. I hadn’t been on the hide for months if not half a year. Monday I listed a stock for sale (both here and on the hide) and now when I go to the web page it just says...

“You have been banned for the following reason: Permanently banned your account reported our site as an abusive email sender, either you or ISP is complaining about the site sending you email, banned, don't bother coming back.”

I looked around and there is no way to email them once your in banned mode, so I was wondering if someone here who has an account there could look me up and see if it says something else about me being banned. I go by the same handle there “tac284”

Just curious about it, no skin off my teeth if I can’t get back in. It’s 10 fold better here...

Also of note they made some changes to the classified section rules with bans being handed out. The message you state sounds more serious than a rule violation though. Are you by chance running through an anonymous proxy, or vpn? That could show up oddly as your ip address could be from it if country depending on your setup if so.

FYI, I do not like that forum. I got flagged for crazy stupid things. If I changed the price on something within 24 hours, etc... one time I bought something on there from a member, I got scammed, and they took it out on me, even tho the other guy was a member for about 2 days and pulling scams.

According to their explanation I don’t foresee that as being the reason. It must be something insecure on your end or...??

Most internet service providers use dhcp (dynamic host control protocol, basically automatically gives you an ip address without the specific address needing to be configured into the device in your house) which have lease times. It could be that you got a new ip address from your service provider when your last lease was up that is included on a flagged list.

Reread the banned message again. Sounds more like your ISP had an issue with them sending you email. Seems strange though.

You would think they would at least make the effort to contact tac284 before banning. Especially because he was a member in good standing. So strange.

So two people sent me PM’s from the hide on that stock Monday, I did find them in my junk mail, I moved them to my inbox. Couldn’t imagine that sent a red flag from my email to the hide could you?
