Maybe have 2 sections ? One for the guys that know the secret handshake and one open to folks that are willing to sell to a newbie that may just happen to be here to learn and maybe benefit from someone willing to help them get started with a deal on a rifle or component...not everyone starts at the top . As far as post count goes,that's a tough one . I tend to read more than post,so my count is low . I try to sift through the BS and draw my own conclusions from the info presented and learn as I go .On the other end of the spectrum you have folks that ramble on living in their glory world just screaming for attention.How is that any more productive for the forum than someone that knows how to shut up and listen?

I don't think calling yourself stupid is the right way to go, but like it's been pointed out there are several on ebay, I would have checked there first, just saying. Those damned Nigeria scammers never stop, what I don't get is why isn't there more being done by U.S. agencies and say Interpol in shutting the bastards down? You got lucky I know Of one person who got scammed out of 10 grand by one of those creeps!

It is a shame that authorities cannot do more to protect us from scammers, but the cards are stacked against them. I have received no less than 100 scam calls within the last year. Many of them claim to be student loan lenders who need money right away to avoid a default. One claims to be the IRS with a similar pitch. I finally got fed up and went to the local police dept. The officer I spoke with said he has been getting the same IRS call. The police dept does not have the resources, and the FBI has bigger fish to fry. Virtually anyone can call you with a fake number, and they are almost impossible to track. At least this case has a physical address associated with it. Maybe someone should send a package with a tracking device in it.
They didn't for me.The postal inspector told me they don't do that. Scammer in Phoenix.

Said he had changed username awhile back.
We’re trying to work a deal on a rest and I asked about why he changed username and I would take the rest if he could prove he was legitimate. He pm’d The following
“Remember, you are soliciting me not the other way around. If you don't want it go piss up a rope. Who are you anyway? Have I shot with you at a national event or world championship? Go eff yourself!”
He said I could have asked a moderator to confirm it but I know how busy you all are and didn’t see a need to bother them with a transaction
We need to remember when others question us to at least be polite and answer questions. Needless to say for all I know/care the rest is still in California.

On the other hand I ran across a BRAND new member that had some bullets I wanted but was concerned due to lack of history and cheap price. After much texting/ conversation he actually sent me the bullets for inspection told me send money later! All worked out, he got his money and his first positive feedback!

The ones I've run into are on craigslist, they want to give you a dummy certified check for more money than the item is selling for and they want you to give them the cash difference.
