Not much for quality like the old days but for $15 bucks I really can't complain. I go through one a year opening hay bales, sure makes it nice as I don't have to take my gloves off. I think I will order half a dozen before the sale goes offKershaw quality isnt near what it use to be, much like gerber. I still like their carry folders.

My friend has a old 1960s or 70s kershaw fixed blade, it may be be best steel in a knife i have ever seen. And i carry a magnum by boker damascus. Not much for quality like the old days but for $15 bucks I really can't complain. You can find many deals made in China. The blade steel used is not typical Kershaw quality. It is a budget made steel produced in China.
Edit:
Always check the knife laws in states you might carry your knife. The wave/hook feature is illegal in some states, along with legal blade length. Do your homework before you start carrying knives.
Yes, this is a good point...many knife makers have gone to China {like just about everyone else} and the problem is that while they may now do some QC to assure that the labor is of high enough quality there really is no control over the materials used. You could be getting a good "looking" knife that is not quite what it is supposed to be.
AG Russell knives have been made in China for quite some time, and they are made with the same low grade Pakistani car bumper 8Cr13MoV steel used in the Kershaw knives. The move was most certainly "purely financial"Unfortunately, more and more are being made in China. A.G. Russell recently started using a Chinese factory for his knives. Said it was purely financial, before he selected a Chinese factory he got a quote for the tooling for a run of knives from a German plant he had been using. The tooling cost would have put the knives price point way off the chart. He reluctantly moved his business to Chinese plant.
While I still think the price in the Bargain Finder is really good for this knife, if you are concerned about warranty then start buying from A.G. Russell exclusively. He still has his "Iron Clad Guarantee". You can read about it here: https://agrussell.com/about/guarantee
He backs it up too! I called about the snaps on the sheath for my SOG Seal 2000 rusting. I bought one of these right after they hit the market. I was told to return the knife and sheath for replacement. SOG had upgraded the snaps to stainless by then. I paid the shipping back to him, he paid the shipping to me. Quick return, you can't beat service and policies like that!
If china stops sending us shoes we will be a barefoot nation!!Same with boots. I just learned my state pride in my Georgia boots was false. Turns out I had China pride this whole time.![]()
Are they really that bad? I did order them ,make good grandchildren gifts if nothing else. You'll go through half dozen in one year![]()

We would really be up a creek if they stopped all Imports. Even though it's mostly junk we find ourselves having to buy the stuffIf china stops sending us shoes we will be a barefoot nation!!
I can usually make it about a year on a Gerber fast draw(if I don't loose it) . They seem to hold up good ,I just sharpen them down to were they are to short with in a year. As JRS said mostly all Pakistan bumper materialI don't know...if you use them like knives are supposed to be used and keep them sharp they really are not terrible knives. That said, I personally can go thru 6 knives in one year no matter who makes them. I will loose 4 and break the other two using them as a pry bar!!!
I don't treat my good ones that way, they last me. My "good" is probably not up to most others idea....I don't have any "custom" knives, they are all entirely too ugly for me.

I have many knives similar to the one I posted the pic of.I bought one of those about a year ago and lost it the same day!!! NO B.S.!!!!
No, you are right, I can stand that one!!!! That is real nice!!! Most of them make me wonder what the cat was thinking about when he designed it. What's even worse is that some guys pay dearly for it....it's like dude, didn't you notice the goat in the corner puking when you bought that?????
Man that is a nice knife, don't loose that one...lolNothing ugly here.View attachment 1075049
