Kershaw Emerson CQC Knife - What a deal!!

I don't usually do this kind of post, but was reviewing the deals of the week and saw the Kershaw Emerson CQC is on sale for $15.95. This is a GREAT deal on a GREAT knife. This is my daily carry knife. For those of you not familiar with the Emerson opener, it is much better than one of the assisted opener knives. When you learn how to use it (which doesn't take very long), the knife is open as soon as it clears your pocket.. It is truly a one-handed opener. When you team the Emerson opener with the quality of Kershaw it makes a great knife. They are about $40.00 locally and I am on my second knife, plus gave my son one.

dsculley, you didn't say where it is on sale at. I really like the Kershaws. They have good steel in them and hold an edge good too..

That's great. I live less than 20 miles from Natchez and can't buy from them. Wish they would change their policy but they will not..

They will not sell to anyone who lives in TN,ALA,GA is my understanding. They for sure will not sell to locals. If you have a FFL they will sell to you but no local sells and their have been people from ALA complain about it too. Don't know why but that is their policy.

You can find many deals made in China. The blade steel used is not typical Kershaw quality. It is a budget made steel produced in China.

Edit:
Always check the knife laws in states you might carry your knife. The wave/hook feature is illegal in some states, along with legal blade length. Do your homework before you start carrying knives.

Sure would like to see the breakdown of the $13 shipping . Precision Bullets in TX ships me 70lbs of .451 bullets in a $8 flat rate USPS shipping box. I suspect $3 in shipping the rest in "handling"

I didn't check the shipping, but at under $30.00 with shipping it is still a good deal. As I said earlier, I pay about $40.00 locally and I still consider the knife a good deal.

Some companies use the shipping as additional profit margin. A couple of weeks ago a company charged $46.00 in shipping for a package that was less than $10.00 in postage. This was for work and we needed it, so no way around it. This was my first order from this company and I will still have to order from them in the future, but the orders will be large enough to make the shipping charges more bearable.

Yeah, they call it the 'wave' as I recall. I have a Karambit by Emerson that I carry. Wicked little bugger.

You can defeat the wave by simply putting the clip on the opposite side on the handle. Three screws as I recall.

Swore off Kershaw with their Ken Onion folder. The blade broke where the thumb assist button went through..... a cpl weeks after buying it.

Their lifetime warrenty..... AIN'T. They said 10$ shipping on me and we'll fix it. Go back to dealer?.... they started laughing and when taken halfway serious started with the,you must've abused it. Well,if you consider it is used in a cabinet shop as a scriber.... then what can I say?
