Well I don't believe I've give up a name or bad mouthed him in any way but it's getting close as he is now ignoring me. The last message I got from him he was blaming me for a power surge. As Dusty points out (that's a tough one) scales are a delicate instruments even though you may not see a damaged box it could have been dropped or mishandled during shipping. Where it me "
I would be upset however you may want to refer to Man Law # 2
Which clearly states that a deal is a deal.
Just don't openly trash them on the internet refer to Man Law #1
Say it to there face!
Just me course.
Hope it works out

Yes it was insured. I took the whole thing item packaging etc to the local post office they said packaging and if they turn it into the claims department they most like would blame packaging also. It was in bubble wrap but only the 1/4" bubble stuff. Was it insured when shipped? Here's the perfect example of why you insure things in the mail.
ARshuter,PM this guy see what he says,,chalk this up a to lifes lesson, never know might be the best friend you never knew about,,If you cant find a local scale company, send me a message. I will look at it for you, I have worked on scales for 20 years.
I hate hearing things like this. Pray he's on vacation with family, and not in hospital or worse. Try to have some faith despite everything. Hopefully things will work themselves out.Oh and if I make a claim they keep the scale till all the dust settles. So looks like no matter what I'm taking it dry and hard as now the seller won't even acknowledge my PMs.
So you spent time with a factory tech and he said load cell is bad? Now to fix it you have to pay for it? The seller won’t acknowledge your attempts to contact him? I’m with pirate Dan on this one. If I sell something and someone is not satisfied I take it back and refund their money period. A seller who isn’t willing to do this is not a seller worth dealing with. This is why we have trade counts. Give the guy a negative trade count and out him. I sure don’t want to deal with this guy and I doubt anyone else does either. You sound like a good honest man and I’m very sorry this happened to you. Oh and when we see the guys name make sure his address is with it.Yes it was insured. I think I have a trade count of 3,,but that does not take into account of other things I have done.my opinion only ,counts can be deceiving.before I post a name on hereSo you spent time with a factory tech and he said load cell is bad? If I’m a seller and I know someone isnt happy with something I will make sure they can contact me and I will be contacting them to try to make it right, as long as I’m physically able. If a seller avoids someone when they know there is a problem that seller deserves no consideration. They deserve to be outed and I’d also like to meet them at their door.I think I have a trade count of 3,,but that does not take into account of other things I have done.my opinion only ,counts can be deceiving.before I post a name on here
I'll meet him at his front door, one good excuse to dust off the Harley,,roadtrip,,,![]()
$13.50 is a small price to pay to get $500 back. And a cheap lessonI plan to give him till Monday evening to get back to me. He PMed me around 9:30 or 10:00 last night, Friday. That was when I ask for my money back, his answer was he had to think about it,then bitched that I didn't offer to pay for shipping. That said his add said "shipped". So I think giving him 48 hours + to think about it is more than fair.
I like that idea,,I'll use it ,,always take a picture with the newspaper and the electrical item turned on
