Anyone near the Pittsburgh Pa area have a barrel vise and a Rem action wrench willing to spin a factory barrel off for me? I throw you a couple bucks for your time. Pm me if you do or know some who does

Thanks

Wisconsin here. If you want to take a trip to the Badger state, I'll do it for you. Probably cheaper though to get ahold of pbike on here and buy a vise and wrench from him! ;)

Everyone’s so far away. Guess it’s time to buy some new pipe wrench’s. What’s the worse that’ll happen? Hahahaha

Good luck removing a Remington factory barrel. I hear they can be very hard to remove the factory installed barrel.

My 2 cents: Buy a good 4 bolt vise and an action wrench. It opens up a whole new world! Just take a deep breath and hit the Buy button. Take out a second mortgage and start buying actions and barrels. Adopt a good Gunsmith 'cause he's going to feel like a member of your family soon enough, anyway. You'll soon find out that Remington's are "easy" and Tikkas are the real toughies.;):rolleyes::rolleyes: I use two vises on them.
