I have never done a project for a 700 Remington ADL for a short action. I am going to need all the parts but not sure if the system is different than the parts for a BDL set up. I need all the parts to set it up and I would like good quality parts to do the job even if I need to buy aftermarket. What all do I need guys?

so youre making this a repeater i take it?
1 rear guard screw
2 trigger guard
3 front trigger guard screw
(i believe the screw through the front of the trigger guard goes up through the mag box and into a hole tapped in the action to hold the mag box in place.)
4 mag box
5 follower
6 front guard screw
7 ferrule. some kind of ferrule to put in the stock for the front guard to go through. alot of people make their own.
i think thats it. just my limited knowledge of it though
Yes, this will be a repeater on a Remington 40 XB-KS stock that I can use as a ADL. So I need everything for it. Trigger guard and the whole 9 yards for the barreled action. I bought a custom 308 with a HV barrel on a 700 RR action that is a repeater. The only thing I think will need done to the stock is open up the recoil lug slot some for the recoil lug on the action. Will not know until the barreled action arrives.

well i listed the stuff to use with a barreled action to fit it into a stock adl style. the barreled actions are the same. so the things above plus your stock and barreled action should be wat you need. i would think there would be alot of these parts around from guys who have pulled cheap adl models down for an action doner. of coarse this doesnt include bedding, pillars ect. oh i think the new trigger guards are plastic and you probably want a metal one. i think ptg has them. bat makes them i believe.

The mag box is held on by a tiny screw offset to the side. The front trigger guard screw is bigger and goes in right between the mag cutout and trigger cutout. The follower, mag box, spring, front guard screw, mag box screw and trigger guard is all you need.

thats right i couldnt quite remember about that mag box screw but i remember that little hole in the action it attaches to.
#7 is usually referred to as an "escutcheon"
I am an ADL addict. All my 700's are ADL style.

ok i like the ADL to and usually just fill in the mag cutout and make them single shots. i dont see any reason to buy BDL bottom metal for wat i do.
Look at the BAT machine ADL metal. Very nice. Also they make one that eliminates the front screw. Some say it induces unnecessary torque on the action.
