Scope choices for 1K

I'm a sling/coat shooter that is currently putting together a 3rd rifle and looking for advice for a scope that is comparable in quality to the ones I have on my other rifles.
I have a NF 8-32 NXS and a March 10-60 currently. They both have very simple reticles, as in the NPR-2 and both have .25 moa adjustments. At there other scopes that you are using that will compare, or maybe even surpass these scopes and having the same criteria mentioned above?
Thanks for your input,

Lloyd

^^^^ this just remember on the hold offs the scope must be ran on 40x to be right I believe.

I've looked through and shot:

Nightforce NSX and BR
Vortex GE
Sightron SIII and SV

Not the March

Oh and some Stieners and S&B but the are not in the +40 power range.

Depending on your budget, my order would be:
Unlimited budget = March
Very healthy budget = Nightforce BR
Pretty good budget = Vortex GE (only because I don't have one)
Good value for money budget = Sightron SIII or SV

I looked up the Vortex Golden Eagle 10-60 ECR -1 Reticle but it has a .125 moa adjustment. I'm only interested in .250 adjustment scopes as all my other scopes and irons are .250.
Thanks,

Lloyd

I suspect your query is not for an F-Class or BR competition scope, because there is a reason 1/8 MOA is normally used in those disciplines.

That is correct sir, I'm a sling/coat shooter.
I guess I should have stated that in my original post.
Thanks,

Lloyd

I have a March 8-80. At 29.8oz with a 34mm tube exposed turrets and a wide selection of reticles it's pretty tough to beat. Best of luck with your new build....

Rick

In your heading u state, scopes choices for 1k. For 1000 bucks I'd have to go with a SIGHTRON siii 10 to 50. That is if you are wanting to buy new. If u go used I'd go with a nightforce benchrest 42, although it's not a side focus like I like. Personally i prefer my nightforce scopes over my SIGHTRON scopes but if 1000 bucks is where your at the SIGHTRON siii 10 to 50 will work well for you and I believe u can get one to meet your reticle and .250 moa turret adjustment requirements. Happy shooting

If you interpreted the title like that, my apologies.
I'm looking for suggestions for top quality scopes to compete with at 1,000 yds. Something that are equal to or surpass what I already have.
Thanks,

Lloyd

March, NF, Vortex all are top notch. (I have 4NF and a Vortex for my F-TR rigs)

In the ¼ MOA turrents you can pick up the discontinued NF NXS scopes in 12-42 here from time to time for a bargain because F class shooters want the 1/8 moa turrets. If you are patient they pop up every month or two. If I was looking that's what I'd do.

Because you don't have a weight limit in sling you could look at a S&B target scope, they weigh a bit more(why F class doesn't use them), have awesome glass and cost ~2X what the NF or the March go for.

For 1000 yard, I would go with the higher magnification. I recently purchased the Vortex GE that is 15-60x52mm and love it. Also one of the best warranties available. Drive over your scope and regardless of the cause of the damage they will replace it. Warranty travels with scope as well.
I started with a 25x scope and found it difficult to compete with at 500 yards against the others that were using much higher power scopes.
Also, at 1000 yards, you will want the 1/8 MOA adjustment over the 1/4 MOA. Fine adjustments make a lot a difference at that distance.
Good luck with your build.

Without knowledge of what @dmoran said in a private message you side with him blindly. Very good of you.

Not a problem.

It would appear he deleted his post.

Not a problem.
