scope choices !!!

I have 2 Bushnell 4200 Elites in 6x24 very bright scopes, looking to sell one of my leupolds to replace it with a possibility of another Bushnell 4200 Elite 6x24, but before I do that, looking for some input of other brands that will be of any better quality glass of around the same cost, has anyone ever compared the new SIII 6x24 vs the Elite 4200's

Better Glass at $565: Burris Signature Select 6-24x40mm. This scope sits astride my .223 Remington Ruger Mark II Sporter with 1-in-12' twist. I punch the center out of a 3' target at 100 yards even on a bad shooting day. Imagine what happens on a good day! Mostly I shoot 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips at 3500 fps. I like velocity, so what can I say? Velocity rules the small bore scene. I also shoot 36 grain Barnes Varmint Grenades @ 3965 fps. This takes a bit of scope adjustment, but well-worth it. I couldn't be happier with a scope at twice the price. This is the fifth scope I've tried, and the last one I need. cliffy

There's no comparison between a Sightron SIII and the Elite 4200 or the upper end Burris's. The SIII's glass and and adjustment knobs are far superior to both, and yes I've owned all three. I'm not trashing your Elite's or Burris's it's just that the Sightron is that good.

i have a bushy 4200 in 6-24 and a black diamond and a sig select in 8-32, but my 2 8-32 slll's are way better than any 4200 or upper burris scope i listed, i like all the scopes i have but my sightrons are in a league of their own. when you look through one you would swear it would cost $1500 but try about almost a half of that. i would pay $1500 for a slll any day of the week. thats why i bought 2 of them and am ordering a third in 6-24.

i feel like i got kicked in the nuts.:, i had to sent back one of my elite 6-24x cuz it wouldnt hold zero and adjustments where a tad screwed up. i knew it was kind of screwy when i first got it tho. other than that they are great scopes and i don't think this usually happens with the elites. If I had it to do over again i would have bought a leupold vx-III LR; you can find one for around $600.

I did however get a really nice jacket out of it tho.
