I've had several 300RUM's and I don't think they are as accurate plus the loaded rounds are super long. My 300 Norma Imp has a .235" throat (a bit short to be dedicated just to 230's but I wanted to be able to shoot 215's too) and my OAL is only 3.608 at .007" off. The same throat in a RUM is .350" longer. That would be 3.958" or barely able to fit in a Wyatt super long box. They are almost identical capacity but I have much better brass because I use Lapua made 423 Dakota brass. I have about 1300 rounds of it so I'm good for my life time. I also have 10 reloads on a few of them that were run from 3045fps to almost 3175fps with 230's and the primer pockets are like new. I'm sure at 3045fps it will easily go 20 reload with proper annealing and it wouldn't surprise me if it went 30-40 reloads.
I have a reamer for a 7-338 Norma Imp with a bore rider throat set up for 195's too. It should easily push 195's 3200fps in a 28" barrel. Once hunting season ends I'll build it and see what it will do for sure.
