6x45 or 6x204.

6x45 is a really nifty cartridge using 70-85 grain bullets. You can get some real mileage out of a pound of powder.

Man it bores you at 300-1000 WOW!! I hear ya I was actually thinking a 260 AI after seeing all the 6.5 calibers you have but my fingers wouldn't let me type it lol!! My first PRS caliber was a 6.5 x47 mainly in part to seeing some of your rifles and reading about them.

My vote is for 300WSM AND 338 Lapua IMP. I have both. The 300 WSM for accuracy to 1000. The 338 for just hard hitting and way out there. Matt

I bought the Savage single shot with laminated stock. I had my local guy throat the barrel to 3.95". I made a dummy round with the base of the 300gr Berger Hybrid at the junction of the body and shoulder. I got to 3000fps and 5-shots under 2" at 300yds with an ice cream scoop of RETUMBO.
