Lyman Borescope

Just bought one. They had 11 in stock. Most other places either out of stock, or much higher price. Thanks!

I got mine the other day. For the price, I love it.

I looked at the bore of a .308 which I'd cleaned (thoroughly, I thought) last week. After a good deal of scrubbing, it's finally clean enough.

It looks like Remington packed a handful of sand into the chamber for the final pass of the reamer. It's nice to have a borescope, but you may not always like what you see,
 
Looking at that thread from last summer, seems there were some QA issues Lyman had to sort out, with any luck the scope shipping today is better.
 
Matt you sound like my Financial Adviser,He tell me that all the time on the big stuff!;) I'm getting to old to bend over, in fact its killing me right now. Besides that there is a difference between need and want. Besides if it any good I'll sell my Hawkeye!

From a recent email from Gunstop, "Well, we had 12 of the Lyman Borecam Digital Borescope With Monitor come in around 12pm and literally sold out by 330pm. The email notification feature of the our web site was the driving factor of that and a Facebook post. The power of the internet!" Turns out I bought the first one. Glad some of our members were able to get theirs. With my two gun clubs' ranges effectively closed due to the big snow, I wish I had it now.

The borescope comes with a lens cleaning solution and cotton swabs for cleaning the mirror. The cotton swabs won't clean the entire mirror. I used a piece of lens cleaning tissue along with the cleaning solution, and it was quite effective.
