Finished my reloading desk

Nice work. It'll never be that clean again :p

Kinda why I took pics now!:);););)
I think I’ll do a couple shelves to keep down the surface clutter. I finally got the OK for a reloading room in the house so I better keep it neat and tidy. I’ll have to retrain myself. I’m a “cluttered desk” kind of guy.
Add: The drawers were carefully built to handle the different components. Powder bottles in the bottom drawers. Die boxes fit on end in the second from bottom. Primers in the next one. CCI boxes two high or Federal 1000 count boxes fit. Bullets and brass in the top drawers. The center drawer is for the tools. Extra stuff goes in a nearby closet.

Ha! Wifey came out just as I finished putting the last knob on. She says “Ooh. Nice job! We need screen doors. 3 pair. Don’t put your tools away!:(:(
Pre fabed metal screen doors. Pick em up at local building supply. All you'll need is a level and cordless screwdriver. That'll give ya plenty of time to get stock built!

Great Job-- My loading Bench is made of 2x4s and a couple sheets of plywood. Not quite that "Fancy".
Are you really gonna drill holes in the top of that for your presses:eek:

Damn you’re smart! Found the “big issue” I’m struggling with.o_O I planned from the beginning to just drill it. It is MY desk and I can do what I want. Now, I just can’t bring myself to do it. The powder measure means 4 holes!
I have a thought about trying to avoid it. I have a 2” overhang on the side and 1” on the front. I think I can put another board on top of the right end that’s drilled. Then bring some pieces down the side and front to wrap around the overhang and put some screws in from underneath that won’t show. ??? Any ideas on your end???;)

Several ways to skin your cat Josh. Clamps for mounting boards as you suggested.
However, you sound a bit like me. ANAL - sometimes to the point of being counter productive.
My stance is: The bench is a tool just like my slightly mottled carry piece. Use for intended purpose, the purpose of excellent ammunition being the end goal. Bullets are engineering feats, 7 handle pulls, multiple washings but look at what is left of them after they do their job. Orrrr, the old drag racers' saw:
If it don't run, Chrome It!!!:p:D:D:D:cool:

It ain't gonna stay pretty forever.
Back when I use to do alot of trail riding, 1st thing we'd do was push the bike over on its side to knock the shiny off it.
Drill some holes epoxy in some T-nuts and move on to maple stock!

Just make an additional side table. Mounting a press on that desk would be awkward. The top does not look to have much overhang.
Inline fabrication offset to dominate side.
I believe they even make a whosacuzie to attach powder thrower to mount.

Drill use T nuts like BCZ said and use stain less bolts. Never look back, make good ammo. A bunch of quality reloading equiplenty on a great bench is beautiful in it self.
