Either they have recently modified, or have not been enforcing existing policy, but here is what's found at the above link:
It's interesting to observe: All over the Internet, people are up in arms (so to speak), about youtube changing their policies on 1 April. There are even videos on youtube ranting about it.Yes Ed I agree and you illustrate what I meant, I think !! The videos of assembly and shooting are unchanged. Manufacturing is another area and I don't qualify my statement that way. I stand by what I posted. Thanks for being reasonable in a flammable arena.
WHAT???
The world didn't end at midnight?
Really big opportunity for " Accurate Shooter "First, I'm not trying to start anything political here, so if this is "out of line" or if it gets derailed please delete it.
I wonder if this will effect guys like Eric Cortina and his instructional videos....

Half the incentive for people like me to take a lot of time setting up for, preparing, possibly buying extra tooling, recording, taking 2-4x longer doing a project, then editing, and posting a video was the potential to make a few bucks on it eventually. Usually not much, but it adds up over time. That drives quality material. If someone else were to take these videos on, the quality (albeit, many are not good) will not be there for many of the videos unless there is a revenue generator for the Creator.Really big opportunity for " Accurate Shooter "
Nope, doesn't look like it..... There are a few things to consider with this thread, first as I have said before, this was an information only thread, just a kind of heads up. I never meant for this to be a "chicken little" thread. Also, I don't think that anybody ever said that You tube was going to delete existing content, nor would I expect them to do it on Easter Sunday. IIRC they were going to start banning some content in April, which gives them a month to start doing whatever they want..... Some very knowledgeable people have some good content on there and I hope it stays, but if it doesn't, so be it.... It's You Tube's right to do whatever they want. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens, if anything.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
My contention throughout the discussion here, and elsewhere, is that there is, across the interwebs, a cacophony of outrage describing the impending youtube action. The problem is: when questioned about their sources, all I ever heard was basically, "...on the internet...", often pointing to some youtube video. Try as I might, I found nothing on any of youtube's policy pages that pointed to any impending changes. There firearms policy, as stated is more severe than practice, but it is also undated, and makes no mention of any greater, future enforcement.
That said, you posted as an informational thread, which is respectful. So I'll ask you, respectfully: Where did you get the information you posted?
The above link was recently created. To my knowledge as a Creator the only restrictions they had were the obvious ones where people were breaking the law/swearing....etc..https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7667605?hl=en
