The above link was recently created. To my knowledge as a Creator the only restrictions they had were the obvious ones where people were breaking the law/swearing....etc..
This announcement was sent out to creators a few weeks back stating that these new changes would soon be taking affect, and I believe it was going to be done starting in April. This was announced a couple weeks after the last incident.
For some reason the email I received, I can no longer find, but maybe I deleted it.
If it's like the new policy about swearing, it may take several months for them to fully implement it. I had one video that I used a few choice words, but not swear words, and they removed monitization from that video for the "questionable words". That was about a year ago and revenue for most creators fell to half of what they were making due to the drop in advertisers. That's what they said anyways.
I've been cutting back on putting up content over the past year due to decreased revenue, and increased regulations. Up until about a year ago I had a nice exponential growth line across all of my channel.
It has been headed in a downhill direction for quite some time now. Unless you feel like being a blogger or having people watch you pop pimples, it seems that YouTube is going to be a gun free zone sooner rather than later.
Thanks.
Your information is as close to the source as any I've found.
I did see the firearms policy while looking, but given it's undated, and currently unenforced, I wasn't sure what to make of it.
Perhaps gun related stuff will disappear as it is reported.
As you are someone with some skin in the game, is there a plan 'B' you'd care to divulge?
Regards,
