What I find strange about this is you rarely hear of any of these fools getting hurt.
I asked a safety guy that very question on a job a couple of years back. Why not let natural selection run its course. He wasn't amused.Best (worst) one I ever saw was years ago, the yahoo with the new Beretta 92 trying to clear the jam by beating the end of the slide on the wood bench with the muzzle pointed at his face!
Observing this from a safe (?) distance, I told the Rangemaster who was a good friend,
“Hey Mark watch this, this is going to get messy”
You have never seen a Range master move so fast in your life
As pointed out above you can’t fix stupid.
The problem is we keep protecting the stupid people! What the hell ever happened to Natural selection? Darwin works, eliminate the stupid gene from the gene pool. If you’re stupid & slow you get eaten by the lions. That’s the way it works!
Sorry rant over, carry on.

The first thing that comes to mind is, how many of those guys were purchasing cleaning supplies as well? I can promise you, none. A lot of these guys have never cleaned their rifle and expect it to shoot well. They go deer hunting year after year and the rifle never gets cleaned, let alone sighted in.Go to a wal mart that sells guns the night before opening day. Here in michigan thatd be nov 14th. Guys buying a gun with ammo and a hunting license. Straight to the woods with a gun that hasnt been proven/sighted in.
I would have taken that bet and said if I won, I wanted the money donated to a charity of my choice in his name - The Arc (For People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities). You can't fix stupid!
Maybe the owner was Vintage as well and just forgot that they were his. Or maybe he just shot bad and gave up the sport.last month, we showed up for our 100 yard BR match, one of the guys comes into the clubhouse & asked who left the rifles on the bench?!
there was a vintage military match the day before & someone left a Garand, 03 springfield & another rifle sitting in their cases on a bench overnight!
Wouldn't you think you would miss those when you got home to clean them?!?!
That is an act of commission and should have been accompanied by expulsion, or at a minimum a suspension of privileges.I was at my local club shooting several years back. There was an all clear and we had guys down range. I'm standing there away from my gun minding my own business, when I look over and there is a guy sitting at a bench looking through the scope of a gun that has the bolt closed. Before I could say anything, he dry fired the gun with freaking people down range. I came unglued and had a bad case of tourettes on this guy. He looks at me and with a smug attitude he tells me he knew the gun was unloaded. I shit you not. I read this guy the riot act and he was not apologetic in any way. Matter of fact, he didn't seem to care. I was obviously not getting through. At that point, I told him we could go get the president of the club and see what he thought about the violation. Only then did he acknowledge he was in the wrong, but it took the threat of being kicked out of the club.

Azz wipe!I have no words to say. A picture says a thousand words, or shot pellets.
And very short necks. Years ago, a local range use to pick up the brass an put it inside for sale. You could dig through the pile and pick out what you want.Another one. I was in Wyo. deer hunting a guy, not with me, had a 300 wby. mag. bought 300 win. mags for it. I didnt see him shoot it but he shot at a deer. Those win. mags pribably had a weatherby shoulder on them. Doug
I'm sorry, when a guy shows up at camp with 300 Winchester ammo and he's holding a 300 Weatherby, it means, he never sighted the rifle in and he hasn't even fired the damn thing. Send his mentally challenged sorry ass home. I wonder if i should buy some 6.5 Creedmoor and try it in my 6.5-284; the Creedmoor ammo is a lot cheaper!Another one. I used to hunt with a group of guys and one of them consistently loaded two balls in his flintlock. No double charge though. More than one deer he shot had two holes in it. Not advocating anything just stating a fact.Saw a guy loading a TC Hawkin and he put in 100 grs Pyrodex twice, I told him man you already put in the powder,, he said 100 grs was for 1 bullet that he used 200 grs when he shot 2 bullets,,
At least you know how to spell it correctly!! Nothing wrong with a CM except the ED of the 308 group that can't accept it, I shoot both. NO EDI shoot a 6.5 creedmoor lol
