just curious if anyone has used the xr-100 action or rifle to make a custom build from. I have it on my mind maybe just rebarrel an existing gun to 6.5x47lapua. just curious on the action quality and if its a good idea or not. thanks

I have the xr-100 action on a krieger .308. It is a very smooth action. It performed very well. I was getting 5 shots into the .3 and .4s at 100 yards, although that would be contributed to the barrel. Im currently getting a new 6BR barrel put on it with a 1:8 twist. Would be a very good option if you don't want to shell out alot of money for a custom action.

That is what I was thinking.....good action and a decent stock that should only need bedded to shoot well....good deal for the money I think.....thanks for the reply
